Beyond Marriage, Other Gay-Rights Challenges Loom October 11 2014 DAVID CRARY
Even as they celebrate epic victories in the push for marriage equality, gay-rights activists acknowledge that other difficult issues remain on their agenda. There's the persistent high rate of HIV infections, the struggles to expand transgender rights, and the striking fact that even in some states allowing same-sex marriage, people can lose their job for being gay.
For many activists, the top priority after marriage is federal legislation that would outlaw a broad range of discrimination against lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender people. There's no such federal law now, and more than half the states do not ban discrimination by employers or public accommodations based on sexual orientation.
"There's absolutely no good reason if you can get married why you should be denied a hotel room or a job," said Fred Sainz, a vice president of the Human Rights Campaign. "There will be a fair number of states where you can get married and be fired the same day for having gotten married."

Question— I see what they are saying that theoretically you can be fired for being gay. But is anyone nowadays actually terminated for that reason? I think if they had, we would have seen lawsuits on the subject.
The goal posts will always keep moving. Once they get 50 state homosexual marriage, they will then be pissed off about something else they perceive as unfair.
“Can you say reparations, Brucie?”
There is no such thing as “enough”. You know that.
The conquest is ongoing due to American youth devoting their lives to a philosophy of eating, drinking, drugging, copulating, evacuating the bowels, snoring and tickets to "The Games." America as an idea and Nation is almost dead. People cannot even protect themselves against a virulent disease, they cannot even resist assaults by black coalition members. In short we are in that stage mentioned by Spengler where we will die to provide amusement for others.
Churches. They are going to go after churches.
Now the only way for us to have peace is to crawl into the closet they abandoned!
This is wearing awfully think folks.
...awfully thin folks!
Faggies’ demands are like Muslim demands - they are tides that are always coming in.
I hope they don’t go after churches. But we will see. Is there ANY mainstream denomination which allows homosexual marriage?
It is coming, make no mistake. Evil and debauchery are pervasive in our culture now and Believers are not taking bold stands against these forces of evil.
It was not homosexual immorality that destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, it was the government endorsing it.
Bullets are the only solution

I know that there was a similar situation here in WA State a while back. However, in secular society, I don't think this can happen. Americans no longer have 1st Amendment rights as regards religion (my opinion), so to say no to a "gay" person or couple is to invite a giant law suit.
Also, the situation in the Seattle area was very depressing, as the Catholic school tried to fire the teacher, and both students and parents protested vigorously. Why are they in a Catholic School in the first place if they disagree with a crucial teaching of the Church?
The goal posts are always moving. Now they are going for transgendered rights. I believe that this will never end. If they get 50,state homosexual marriage that won’t end it. It will only set the stage for more and more demands for “equality” and fighting alleged “discrimination”.
Or put another way, they will find something else to be pissed off about once they achieve 50 state homosexual marriage.
I agree that, that will be the end game. I have actually been waiting for quite some time for the first "gay" couple to go into a Catholic Church and demand to be married. Law suits, huge media coverage favoring the "gays", and copitulation of the SCOTUS. The Constitution will be amended, for all intents and purposes, without a convention of the states; and, our 1st Amendment rights to practice our religion in our everyday life will be gone.
It has happened in Great Britain. Don’t know if it has happened here yet, but it will. No doubt in my mind.
no doubt, it is an intellectual attack against free speech in the name of sexualmfreedom.
No one can force me to hire or approve some activity that I disapprove within my premises.
We should not be forced to fund raise for things we do not approve, let alone be trolled about it.
