We’ve been inundated with a story this weekend of a 15 month-old girl being killed by a stray bullet in Irvington NJ (part of the larger Essex County Welfare Hatchery, comprised of Newark and East Orange as well). The reporters are standing in front of cars worth a lot more than those of myself or my wife (who both work); these “innocent victims” are simply child sacrifices by parents seeking a life of leisure.
The media stressed that the girl was playing with both parents at the time (maybe to prevent assumptions); I’d like them to provide more details if they’ll go that far: Are they married? Do they work? How much do they cost me?
Most Americans live their lives as though these places don’t even exist; if Ferguson wasn’t constantly splashed across the news who would know or care?

Because there is no incentive. That same mindset has now spread across other groups as they weigh what they’ll get for free versus what they’d get for working a job or two at $7.50 an hour...
What riddle? It is purely a leftist delusion (or lie — there are some charlatans on the left who actually know better, but purport to believe this to stay in power) that leftist policies (and only leftist policies) benefit racial minorities, African-Americans foremost among them. This delusion feeds the other delusion the left suffers from (or lie the know-better-charlatans section of the left tells), that its opponents are all racists, since opposing the left’s policies is prima facia evidence of animus against blacks.
I remember Al Sharpton saying at some point in the last few years that if black unemployment had been this bad under George W. Bush that there would've been riots in the streets and the black congressional caucus would've been calling for his impeachment.
Can anyone find that quote, which I think I'm paraphrasing a bit, that Sharpton made in the last few years?
I've been wondering myself why it is black voters are so loyal to Obama when financially they're so much worse off with him in office than they've ever been. Something along the lines of 40-60% of black males 18-35 don't have full time employment, and black unemployment rose in order of 20% or more since Obama got elected.
This may be offensive to some but it amazes me that the Federal Government will put up signs in national parks that warn people not to “Feed the Animals” because they will become depended on the handouts and not be able to take care of themselves.
Not comparing those that receive welfare as animals only pointing out that humans respond the same way as animals. Give them a choice of working hard for the basic necessities of life or getting free hand outs, makes the choice an easy one for some.
Then create a culture where learning is bad, acting the gangster is good, discourage marriage and family (by paying more for those not married) and you have a recipe for failure.
Refugees from elsewhere (even blacks from Africa) have not been exposed to that culture and if they are lucky will not succumb to the lure of an “easy life” on the government dole. If this was a nation of racist, none of them would make out of poverty. The fact that most do makes a lie of the charge this is a racist nation.
I can point out several nations that really are racist in the way they treat others not like them.

The left, being humanists and therefore believing the opposite of revealed truth,
believes that work itself is a punishment to be avoided,
instead of what we are intended to do.
Add that with a dose of “slave-baiting” and you get the idea that “making” black people work for a living is punishing them with continued slavery.
I’ll compare many receiving welfare to animals in national parks. In fact, it is hard to distinguish between said animals and welfare recipients who have been on for generations; both are wards of the state, living only to eat and breed. When some better use comes up for the land they occupy, they are simply shipped to another preserve; meanwhile, visitors beware!
Good point; to the far-left work is just wage slavery. The problem is what they then proceed to do with their idle lives; it doesn’t work out well for them.
Holding out for the “hope and change” checks to start rolling in?
That’s great! A lot of Americans are trying that out, while our new Asian middle class gets their jobs and related wealth.

Left wing policies screw just about everyone. It should not be surprising that most blacks are also getting screwed.
They should just wake up to the fact that he is NOT BLACK, he is mixed race so they can just admit his failings and blame it all on his white momma. It’s OK with me, I don’t feel the need to pretend that all white people are right all the time.
