Elizabeth Warren: Obama's economic team chose Wall Street over 'families'
CNN Money ^ | 10/13/14 | Melanie Hicken

Senator Elizabeth Warren, always outspoken on the tension between Main Street and Wall Street, took shots Sunday at a system she said is "rigged" against the little guy.

In an interview in Salon, Warren, who has said she doesn't plan to seek the 2016 presidential nomination, said fellow Democrats including President Obama have not done enough to help consumers.

On President Obama: Warren praised Obama for the creation of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, a federal agency aimed at enforcing consumer protection laws.

But she told Salon that "there has not been nearly enough change" in the wake of the U.S. financial crisis.

"He picked his economic team and when the going got tough, his economic team picked Wall Street. ...They protected Wall Street. Not families who were losing their homes. Not people who lost their jobs. Not young people who were struggling to get an education. And it happened over and over and over."

On lobbyists: Banks spend millions on "armies of lobbyists and lawyers," she told Salon, but there are few people at "the decision-making table" representing the concerns of everyday Americans.

"And when that happens -- not just once, not just twice, but thousands of times a week -- the system just gradually tilts further and further."

If you listen very carefully when Fauxahontous speaks you can hear the clicks of Valerie Jarret’s keyboard as she types into Lizzie’s TelePrompTer.

Most liberals will never forgive him for welfare reform.

Just as they will never forgive Obama for not taking his opportunity to drive a stake thru the heart of Capitalism in early 2009.

Some one’s got to tackle the economic mess if they want an easy majority. I wish Steven Ford would come forward. None of our constitutional conservatives seems to have a good economic barometer about the mess the banking system is in, and how that’s destroying any hope of recovery for the middle class.

This 'criticism' of Obama is actually just re-treaded Clintonian Triangulation.

For those not familiar with the stunt, it goes like this:

1. Profess 'concern' with someone's 'point of view'.
2. Pledge that you will not be aligned with that point of view, 'until significant changes are made'.
3. Don't mention it for a while.
4. Give an interview where you've suddenly come around, because the other person's point of view has 'changed'. When in fact, the only thing that changed was the liberal reporter's underwear (maybe)

Win!

An additional truth is that Warren, as head of that new consumer protection agency WAS on Obamas economic team. She had a seat at the table, gave it up (sold out) to be a Senator.

As a quitter, she has no cred here.

I work with some divorced older white women who forgave BJ Clinton for everything; I don’t believe they’d even care if he murdered Monica.

They still really believe he “felt their pain”...

Nope, not eating their own, it’s a COORDINATED STRATEGY, for sure. They are trying to give Hillary as much distance from Obama as possible, and this is the only way to do it.

When Dems start going after Hillary too, such as regarding the Middle East, then I would agree that they are eating their own. We’ll see if that happens, but I don’t expect it to.
