Being a pro-gay rights president shouldn’t mean anything in the constitutional republic. But as a consequence of parents not making sure that their children are being taught about 10th Amendment-protected state powers versus constitutionally enumerated rights, voters don’t understand that the Constitution needs to be amended to expressly protect so-called gay “rights,” the states having never done so.
