Throwing Darwin a Curve

by Randy J. Guliuzza, P.E., M.D. *

“The pitch cuts the inside corner of the plate for strike two.” That familiar sound is heard on radios around the world. In fact, some of the best pitchers in America are not Americans. Great pitching ability is not limited to ethnicity or geography, but rather to human beings alone. Great pitchers make it look so easy, and “practice makes perfect,” but it helps that the brain power necessary for control, neurological connections, and muscular arrangements for the human arm are exceedingly better than any system that exists on the planet. Is throwing a ball really that complex?

“poorly thought out leaps of failed logic that get us tagged as sub-genius by those smarmy air heads on the left.”

Even the most robust apologizers of the faith...with gifts of reasoned tongue and sharpened logic will always get tagged as sub genius. Or like Stephen, they get stoned in the street. Why have you such a fear of man that you care what “they” think anyway?

Paul says that Christ “is a stumbling block to the Jews and to the Greeks foolishness!” Even if science and Bible correlated perfectly the way the Utopians of Logic and Lightness of Being proclaim it should be...they still won’t believe that God raised Christ from the grave unless the Holy Spirit works inside of them first.

Part of that is the proclaiming of the word of God for “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God!”

You’ve seen how science has been perverted to support global warming for it supports certain agendas of groups that don’t have the love of truth and logic in mind. What are the lengths some would go to pervert science to destroy Christianity? We have some inkling of that from the history of the last century thru the influence of the various atheistic isms that caused 100 to 200 million to be killed depending on the metrics used. DDT was banned so that millions have been killed via malaria. Who ever put the Georgia guidestones up wants to see billions killed in the name of “Utopia”.

It isn’t Christians who are distorting science; wisdom is justified by her children said Christ!...It is the groups that hate religion and hate humans in general that show a willingness to distort science in the name of some fairytale Platonic Utopian society!

17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

And how is that a commandment? No doubt that some of them did, at least in apostolic times, but this is an observation, not a command.

“of the Bible” means “of the entire Bible”, which means you have to handle snakes and speak in tongues”

Some folks go that way in terms of the snakes when what they are doing is putting God to the test. Paul was on a journey to Rome when he got shipwrecked. A snake came out the fire and bit him but he didn’t die. It was stated that the apostles being sent out would find themselves in situations where snakes might bite them but not harm them they didn’t go about handling them deliberately.

As for speaking in tongues....be very careful not to totally disparage for it does happen from time to time especially in the presence of those who can interpret. Paul asks that those who have a tongues gift not to use them where there is no interpretation. There are some false instances of tongues....whether it be simply some emotional thing or a demonic thing, the fruits coming out of such persons will help with the discerning of the truth.

The “whole Bible” would also warn snake handlers not to test God. Snakes are wild animals given to fear and no self respecting snake likes to be handled and mumbo jumbo’ed over. The whole Bible also teaches that while there is a gift of tongues...there were proper times to use them and when they should not; which means a speaker of tongues has some control over the process. Paul teaches that greatest spiritual gift is love or Charity(unconditional selfless love). Tongues without love was said to be as clashing cymbals... driving men away from God.

The whole Bible means just that...the whole Bible. Snakes as well as icky things like getting along with God and your fellow men!

“You...You...pseudo selfist!” “May you forever suffer the illusion of self consciousness” “May you never reach Moksha or extinction...may you forever suffer the illusion of extistence”. One of the worst...”.may the universal consciousness become aware of you”! Finally...”not only are you ugly but the face you had before you were born was ugly, too”!

/humor ...it might have been funny before I was born...I will never “pre-”know it!

Mark 16:17 & 16:18

Verses 9 thru 20 of Mark 16 are not found in the oldest manuscripts.

Not at all.. if you look at other threads im not a Darwin fan and do not support the theory as taught.. I try to point out flaws and logical fallacies in the claim that all species evolved is a proven fact... they are not ...they cannot be proved.. and is bad science to claim Darwin is proven truth...

So i would be the first to support an attack on Darwin...but this article just makes no point and is an embarrassment to the side I support
