Hillary Clinton Says Student Debt Too High, Collects $225K for College Speech

Hillary, don’t ever change.

Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton told a Las Vegas crowd Monday night that more needs to be done to assure young people can achieve their dreams and free students from onerous college debt “that can feel like an anchor tied to their feet dragging them down.”

“I think our young people deserve a fair shot,” she told about 900 people gathered in a Bellagio resort ballroom for the annual UNLV Foundation dinner benefiting the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Maybe Hillary should listen to some of those students.

Hillary Clinton is appearing at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas this October and her speaking fee — $225,000 — has sparked an outcry that seems to be getting louder.

The fee has led to calls by UNLV students for Clinton to either speak for free or donate the money back to students.

In an interview with respected Nevada political journalist Jon Ralston this week, student body President Elias Benjelloun said the potential 2016 presidential contender should donate some or all of her fee to the university.

“Our student government asks that Hillary Clinton returns part or all of the money back to students, back to the university,” said Benjelloun, who noted that he likes Clinton. “We’ve been seeing increases in tuition, we’ve been asking students and families to come back to the table, and it’s time for private entities to come to the table as well.”

Daniel Waqar, the public relations director for the student government, said that while students appreciate people who raise funds for the school, the fee is “a little outrageous.”

“Tuition just went up seventeen percent. It’s gone up a hundred percent over the past decade or so. We think that students could really use this support from the $225,000—and greatly benefit from the scholarships–from the speaking fee, Waqar said.

But as usual, Hillary Clinton is keeping the money. She is flat broke after all. And using her speaking time to recite hypocritical homilies about how students need to be given a shot because student debt is so high.

Hillary Clinton can’t control her hypocrisy or her greed.

Well, it was worth $225,000 to be told that.

This issue came up in the past. Hillary’s response was that she donates hr speaking fees to the Clinton Family Foundation, so that the money is simply going from one foundation(the university), to another (the Clinton foundation).

She could donate it to some deserving student’s student loan.

Any publically funded school that would pay anyone $225k to speak should be closed or all state funding removed from it.

Students need to understand that by going to college they are essentially borrowing 4 years of support for their lifestyle. This amount, plus interest paid to our government, is to be paid back from future earnings. Factor in this cost plus lost wages for 4 years and you have the true cost of college. It makes sense for many students to get a college degree on a part-time basis. However, colleges have become major money makers and indoctrinators of democratic policy, so everyone should go to college and come out indebted to the system. Just another way on ensuring that government will control the masses, especially those getting “worthless’ degrees.

Hey...it goes to a “foundation”. The “foundation” also is a slush fund for this degenerate family of criminals.
