2nd nurse with Ebola called CDC before boarding flight several times [CDC allowed her to fly]
CBS News ^ | 10/15/2014

In the case of Amber Vinson, the Dallas nurse who flew commercially as she was becoming ill with Ebola, one health official said "somebody dropped the ball."

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that Vinson called the agency several times before flying, saying that she had a fever with a temperature of 99.5 degrees. But because her fever wasn't 100.4 degrees or higher, she didn't officially fall into the group of "high risk" and was allowed to fly.

Officials in the U.S. have been trying to calm fears over the Ebola crisis, but time and again events have overtaken their assurances.

Can you imagine the hesitation that voters will experience when trying to decide if they are going to vote next month because of this epidemic. I wonder which ones will stay home, conservatives, or liberals. Liberals are too stupid to fear Ebola. I expect that the conservatives, on the other hand, are thoughtful enough to consider the danger.

If someone catches Ebola who was on that flight can they sue the CDC?

She had to call the CDC because the infamous “protocols” were not in existence at the hospital. The CDC has been lying all along. There may have been some vague references to their website, but there was nothing on site.

Remember, these people are practiced liars. If you listen very carefully to the detail from many sources you begin to pick up on the inconsistencies of their lies.

Also note that the Enterovirus D68 has killed two children (probably more) and paralyzed several but the MSM administration pimps and pimpettes have completely buried the story.

Frieden just threw this lady under the bus on NATIONAL TV and it turns out his demented apparatchiks gave her the OK to fly?

Frieden is a NYC communist democrat propagandist son of a bitch.

Ebola is THE most dangerous virus in the world and this bastard is acting like its the flu.

This is an intentional attempt by the foreign marxists in the WH to infect the USA.

Is this the same CDC that claimed, after the fact, that she shouldn't have flown.

Send in the Clown Cars.

Frieden is a NYC communist democrat

Tobacco control

Upon his appointment as Health Commissioner in January 2002, Frieden made tobacco control a priority,[19] resulting in a rapid decline[20] after a decade of no change in smoking rates.

Frieden established a system to monitor the city’s smoking rate, and worked with New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg to increase tobacco taxes,[21] ban smoking from workplaces including restaurants and bars, and run aggressive anti-tobacco ads and help smokers quit.[22] The program reduced smoking prevalence among New York City adults from 21.6% in 2002 to 16.9% in 2007– a change that represents 300,000 fewer smokers and could prevent 100,000 premature deaths in future years.[20][23] Smoking prevalence among New York City teens declined even more sharply, from 17.6% in 2001 to 8.5% in 2007, and is now less than half the national rate.[24]

The workplace smoking ban prompted spirited debate before it was passed by the New York City Council and signed into law by Mayor Bloomberg.[25] Over time, the measure has gained broad acceptance by the public and business community in New York City.[26][27] New York City’s 2003 workplace smoking ban was among those following California’s ban in 1994. Frieden supports increased cigarette taxes as a means of forcing smokers to quit, saying “tobacco taxes are the most effective way to reduce tobacco use.”[28]

Frieden supported the 62-cent Federal tax on each cigarette pack sold in the United States, introduced in April 2009.[29]-Wiki

….the other flew to Cleveland before she was visibly sick, and therefore, we are told, before she was contagious.

Based on what the physician who called into Rush on Tuesday said, this is probably not true.

I’ll wear a full EV suit to the voting booth if I have to.
Nothing, except non citizenship, should stop ANYONE from voting.

According to Sanja Gupta on CNN right now,

Nina Pham, when she called in, had a lower than 101.5 temperature.

On the CDC website says: Fever (greater than 38.6°C or 101.5°F)

I remember some talking head saying yesterday, that we must be over the hump because no one has contracted the disease (except Ms. Pham) since the index patient died during the span of time when it was likely to occur.

Time for the CDC to “lose” Freiden’s e-mails and phone records.

“Thomas Frieden is the Joe Biden of the Centers for Disease Confusion. “

This fiasco proves we have no opposition party. Before the winds of Katrina died down the Democrats and the mainstream media were denouncing Michael Brown, head of FEMA. Within three days Brown had resigned, despite Bush praising him profusely for doing a great job the day before the firing. Then the Democrat attacks shifted to Bush who played defense the rest of his administration. The Republicans lost the House in the 2006 midterm election that followed Katrina and then were wiped out in the debacle of 2008.

If they are afraid to attack Obama directly, Frieden’s incompetence makes him the perfect proxy. Boehner and McConnell should be demanding Frieden’s resignation after today’s news of the second Ebola health care worker being allowed to fly on a commercial airliner by the CDC. Where is the GOP? Silent as usual.

Ebola is the October surprise. It can be Obama’s Katrina if the Republicans will pick up the ball and run. Instead they are playing to hold tight and let the clock run out while the unions, community organizers, and local corrupt Democrat politicians are working to drag every wino to the polls, help the dementia patients in nursing homes fill out their absentee ballots, not to mention churning out every illegal alien they can drag to the polls for same day, no voter ID registration.

This should be a wave election. If the Republicans were demanding the firing of Frieden, closing of the border, and mandatory 21 day isolation for everyone exposed the American people would stand up, cheer, and flock to the polls to vote GOP. If a Republican president was in power, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi would be walking in front of the White House, with media in tow, demanding the president do his job.

Rahm Emmanuel spoke of not letting a crisis go to waste. Haven’t any of these Republican leaders or consultants read Alinsky?

It seems as though Karl Rove and the other “strategists” are doing everything they can to convince me not to hold my nose and vote for the incompetent party.

We are now finding out that the health care workers taking care of Duncan did NOT use has mat suits for the first two days he was in hospital. They waited UNTIL his diagnosis was confirmed. That is insanity

On a previous post I called her “stupid.” I have to take that back and substitute “too trusting” now that I know she called the idiots at CDC because she was concerned. Apparently they are so bureaucratic that they looked at numbers rather than focusing on the fact that she was in contact with Duncan.

Also Gupta said that she had other symptoms of Ebola, though not the fever.

Remember the virus is building and shedding by coughing, sweating, peeing, vomiting etc.
