I do NOT believe it is bumbling and bungling. Remember “never let a good crisis go to waste”? Remember “We need a world population of 500,000,000.”? Remember “America’s chickens are coming home to roost.”? Well brother they are walking around the chicken house.
Be a healthy person, but have access to someone who is sick -- perhaps a jihadi who volunteered to become a virus source.
Healthy person accesses the blood of the sick person and loads the blood into something like a sugar water solution -- a solution that would be somewhat sticky and which will prolong the life of the virus.
Go to a hot sporting event with one of those spray fans which aerosolizes water to cool your face.
Walk around the stadium, "misting" everywhere you go. Spray the air, spray hand rails, spray condiment bottles, etc.
You could infect 5000 people in one day.
Those 5000 people will get a mild fever a few weeks later. Some will be rushed into quarantine right away -- most will not: they'll be symptomatic but won't think much of it (cold and flu season) and they'll go to work.
5000 becomes 50,000.
Do this at 10 arena events in one week: I see half a million ebola cases a month from now.
That's like getting hit by an asteroid. Society vanishes over night.
By the way -- we know about drug mules: put ebola blood in a condom, swallow the condom, go through customs. It's easy. Now you have a virus source in the USA and you can decide what you want to do with it. Undetectable. No one is sick (yet) and you've got a bio-weapon. A sprayer in a crowded area? You just killed America. The Great Satan is no more.

You can’t bring a parrot into the US without a six week quarantine due to the risk of Psitacosis which hasn’t been a threat for DECADES. Depending on the rate of infection, you are correct. Conceivably, the entire world population would be eliminated by May 2015.
The disease itself will not necessarily have a devastating effect – but the disease will allow Obama to end America as a world power.
NOTE: Neither martial law or civil war have to result in a viable dictatorship and the declaration of Muslim supremacy in the United States – that does not have to be Obama’s winning strategy. He can lose. He can die. I don’t think he cares. All he needs to do is cause a complete breakdown. Civil War will be the breakdown. The winner of the war is inconsequential – America will never be capable of propping up the West again, and the Caliphate will become firmly established in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe (Spain).

I suppose deliberately infecting one's self, and then immersing self into population centers--while a death sentence to the infected person, a.k.a "terrorist" would be no different than hi-jacking a plane and flying it into a building.
So does that mean that surgical masks, goggles and rubber gloves will now be de rigeur on airplanes, buses, trains, restaurants, bars, hotels and pretty much every place else where people share spaces with strangers?

I think you may have mistaken my intent on these rants. I totally agree with you. Parrots in quarantine, but no people. We need to quit calling it the Ebola epidemic or the HN whatever the hell it is killing kids all over America, and start calling with EVERY thread, political speech and news article “The Democrats Biological Warfare on America”. Please help.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

All the terrorist(s) need do is to infect illegals coming across the border. Mingle and infect. And once the first terrorist(s) die, introduce others to continuously extend the coverage. The illegals do the job.
