You can imagine the treatment at an average U.S. hospital or charity or a V.A....
could it be that this hospital gives excellent care in other ways, but that it is not set up to be an Ebola treatment center? Just a thought. Is any hospital anywhere in America really set up to handle Ebola? Good question for that dude at the Center for Disease Control.
A nurse lacking confidence is not a good indicator.
She can expect a tax audit from this corrupt administration.
Listen to the nurses, they’re on the front lines of this thing. God bless them, especially the ones working on the infectious disease floor.
I know there are capable and smart epidemiologists at CDC.
When is one of them going to resign and speak out? Are they all just whores waiting on a cushy pension?
They are wold class doctors. They can earn a living anywhere anytime. Are they afraid or have they lost all their principles?
I can honestly say that I would have screamed from the rooftops days ago if I were there and a medical professional.
Have all people everywhere lost all their principles?
Poor woman. Now will be permanently unemployed. I could name names and point out the public school officials who were totally incompetent with evidence, but would be attacked by national teacher unions and life would be hell. Not worth it. Leaving it all to God. If He decides to do something about it fine. If not, all my efforts will be in vain.
Might be better.
The smaller hospitals know they are not “World class” and don’t have the hubris.
Upon opening the equipment, I found the mechanism had been jammed by paychecks and personal equipment like cell phones being stored in a compartment too small for them.
I photographed it with my phone, showed her the problem, and said, "I'd probably have my attorney ask why these items were interfering with delivery of lifesaving medications in a critical care unit."
Never had that problem again in their hospital.
For profit hospitals care more about money than patients. Affirmative action entrants into professional schools reduce quality professionals.
Current professional training often done by for profit schools turning out graduates like M and Ms.
Current protocols ignore basics, like handwashing and sterile equipment and quarantines.
Don’t know if above is applicable to CDC doc or Texas Presbyterian head and staff, but would not be surprising if is.
Smells like Obamaphile talk. Blame the private sector.
The real victim, the nurse who HAS Ebola, praised the hospital.
Carelessness is inexcusable!
One significant problem with stopping Ebola is that Ebola first kills the medical personnel trying to treat it.
Is the hospital still all but closed down?
I suggest that everybody on this thread watch the interview with this nurse. The video is on the link to the article. Even though you can’t stomach Matt Lauer, you should watch this interview. She isn’t trying to get her 15 min. of fame, she is genuinely scared to death of what took place at this hospital.
this all goes back to Obama, and still he is defended and sounds beyond it all... if only a sink hole would appear, “know-whad-ah-mean Vern?”
She is definitely not reading from any script. She is very frightened that this could happen in such a well known hospital. The hospitals across this country are not set up for this nor have been practicing with adequate training.
Now, for my rant. I have never understood why all of these countries have not put a better effort in helping to control this virus in these poor nations. One would think that the first president from a poor region himself along with his supporters would had been all over this issue. Isn’t that what we are told liberalism is not transformational polices.
I have felt like it’s been wrong to ignore the poor of the world like this because of what is happening now. Their leaders are so corrupt which doesn’t mean you forget the people. Now, the USA, has these same kind of leaders in the government who do not let the power of the people work; it’s the power of the bureaucrats and in many other nations, they are described as warlords.
I wouldn’t say we are getting punished though it is catching up. It’s a lesson of people should turn their attitudes around to put other less fortunate first not this insane non Christian agendas that we are being made to live under by some activist judge. Black people need to wake up and get it through their stubborn heads, they are being pulled down by the white liberals and the black race baiters of a party in which they find power in.
I know of no one who is happy that poor people in these poorest of nations are dying from these viruses but it wasn’t handled properly by Obama’s government agencies to get to where we are now. He continues refusal to close off flights from those effected nations due to the power that he wants from this election. He is very immature and should do the right thing to say so and ask for experts for help / not these political puppets. Agenda first, then move backwards. Success is made by results through solutions. Wish any president would turn out for the people, not this. No wonder Americans don’t trust him. He has wasted so much time. He should be punished for what he has allowed to take place at the veterans hospitals alone.
