Isn’t that the same ol same ol? The three same guys? The doctor, the dentist, one or two others?
In fact aren’t there only three Sikhs serving in the United States military, maybe a fourth one now?
For example, Air India Flight 182.
They were grandfathered in before 1986.
You have to be careful when these freepers start pushing the Sikh agenda against the American military.

There’d be more if they were allowed beards and turbans. What’s the big deal? More Sikhs, less homos.

What’s the big deal of beards and turbans in the American military? Ask the Army and Reagan, do you agree with these Sikh activists and militants that we do it out of racism?
As far as a doctor and a dentist and a spec 4 replacing the homos, I doubt it, and there are homosexual Sikhs.
I'm just sick and tired of people who come to the west from shitholes like Punjab or Iraq or Somalia or wherever, and proceed to tell us that we are racists, and we must change out laws and institutions to accommodate them, and that they have a thing or two to teach us about civilized behavior. As if an Iraqi immigrant who was a cannibal back in his home country has a lot to teach us. As if I should listen to some bearded dope-dealer who comes to north america and sets up Khalistan youth clubs holding memorials for poor martyred sikh terrorists. As if I need to have him explain to me that I'm not up to standards of civilized behavior and I need to learn a thing or two about tolerance and non-discrimination and blah blah.
Of course if you were living in their country you'd have no rights at all, since you are not one of them. Not muslim, not black, not sikh or not whatever. It would just be better for everyone it they didn't come here.
In attacking our American military, pound for pound, the Sikhs are the worse.
They never let up on their attacks and militarism and activism.
Their freeper cult supporters even post their individual photos here as heroic political activists.
There were two different types when I was in during the early and mid 1990s. The “old” ones had two internal filters (M17), and the new ones (M40)have an external cylinder.
The other issue is facial hair. If you can’t get a good seal, then it is useless.
True, and I also don’t support special exemptions for anybody.
But if in any discussion you can’t handle a little history thrown in and enjoy it - well, have a nice day.
Why the crack, the reason it is so recognizable is because of the pro Sikh arguments that we see on these threads about our military and the Sikh agitators, which seem to rely on old history involving India.
All I said to you is that we aren’t 1800s India.
Sikhs have suffered under Islamic rule for almost 1,000 years. They are great warriors—Let them serve in all Sikh units-—Turbans and all. The Brits had great success with them—as they have has with the Gurkas. Muslims may have loyality problem in action with other Muslims—this will not happen with Sikhs—The more you learn of this religion the more “American” they seem—Great and honest business men, they handle their own problems—you will never see a Sikh on welfare.
The Army can develop a standard for uniform to accommodate the Sikhs allowing for beard and hair as well as other items like I guess a turban. The Sikhs are true warriors and I would have had no problem fighting beside them when I was a soldier.
The facial hair issue is that to which I referred. A quick good seal with facial hair is highly unlikely.
