Carbon footprint? How much Carbon Dioxide is exuded by decaying human corpses and detached heads strung along on top of fence pickets and nailed up on posts?
“Carbon footprint” is one of the most bogus arguments AGAINST civilization that has yet been raised. Civilization has progressed much more quickly when the principles of capital investment and distribution of a great and plentiful flow of goods and services are made available to the widest number of people. Scarcities, when they develop, are quickly overcome through substitution of the scarce commodity with a much more plentiful commodity that is equal or superior in performance, and ends up being LESS expensive to produce and distribute.
Also, incidentally, somebody ends up filthy rich as a result of this substitution.
Probably also ends up using a lot more carbon in the process, but carbon is one of the most recyclable substances on earth.
I had to Google Neil Young to find out who the hell he is. Now, I have to ask why anyone one would give a Shi’ite what he thinks?

I have a friend since grade school who is an aging Neil Young fan. He lives in Seattle; he has never owned a car, never been married and is the union shop steward for the county assessors office.
We don’t see each other very often, because I manage to offend him every time I see him. The last time it was about Wal-Mart when he started spewing a bunch of anti-Wal-Mart union BS. But the global warming, carbon foot print thing has come up frequently.
He usually only calls me when he needs me to give him a ride to somewhere. Then he berates me for having a larger carbon footprint then him. I remind him that satellite imagery shows clearly that there has been no global warming for nearly two decades despite rising CO2 levels. It usually goes down hill from there.
He is Jewish and one would think that he would be supportive of our military helping to stabilize the situation in the Middle East for Israel’s sake. But he is in his own little liberal dream world, let the facts and the realities of the world the rest of us inhabit be damned.
Well, ole Neil has ingested a very large amount of drugs in his life. I’m surprised if he manages to put his shoes on the right feet.
