Just had a conversation with a new member of my senior softball group who now has a reduced annual income of about $25K.........His enrollment in Obamacare is costing him about $350 per month but has a $3,500 deductible BEFORE Obamacare starts paying ANY of his bills.......

So lets do the math: $4,200 per year in premiums, plus the $3,500 deductible and that equals $7,700 in medical expenses before Obamacare kicks in............That's almost 1/3 of his annual salary...............

How much is the total premium? That’s a bit of an important number as well, since you and I get to pay that portion of the bill, no matter if he uses any services or not.

I ran the Obamacare numbers for us too. You are right. With the premiums and deductibles it would be just over a third of our annual income before they kicked in a dime. How is that affordable?
