Troh plans to partially recover financially with a book written about her life, from growing up in Liberia, meeting Duncan in a refugee camp in Ivory Coast, Duncan's years-long quest to come to America to be reunited with his girlfriend and their 19-year-old son, and his death in an isolation ward.

"It will be a love story," she said.

I truly hope no one else gets sick, though ...

Me, too.

It appears that the 2 to 21 day range covers 95% of cases. Another 3% fall in the 22 to 42 day range. There have been a very small number that didn't present symptoms until 45 days.

OK there was Duncan, his gf Troh, Ms youngor jalla (sp?), four children, maybe Ms youngor’s husband also?

How many people were living there??!!??

How big an apartment? three bedrooms? Two?

I think there were fewer than what we are being told.

Jallah and her “husband” with a different last name and kids lived elsewhere. I don’t know where her father lived.

Any word on the resident who was feverish at the DART station yesterday? Or has that story been squashed?

Bring Out Your Dead

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

*sigh* Such is life, and death...
