Stalin was a totalitarianist, not a socialist.

I’m confused. Just WHY the hell would Bush 41 tap Sam Nunn’s little DEMOCRAT gal to run his foundation in the first place?

He could release a photoshopped image of nunn, hitler and stalin in a group hug. But, as much as I have disagreed with GHWB, he would never stoop to their level.

With all due respect sir, no he is not!

He’s a WWII fighter pilot with significant combat experience to name just one way he has served his country.

And, he was a President of the United States.

Notwithstanding any of the foregoing, he was a big spender and a liberal socially and he told a big whopper to the American people and no way I would ever vote for ANY Bush.

But, he is not “a stupid old man”. He deserves a minimum level of respect, at his age and for his accomplishments before he became President and told the big lie to the American People.

When I saw him wearing his clown socks and sitting with his son Jeb yucking it up with the evil POS Obama in the Oval Office, I knew he had turned stupid.

He was not stupid when he was a World War II hero. Now he is.

And he and his son and Dick Cheney had all the goods on Obama before 2008. They knew exactly what Obama was and sat by and did nothing. W and Cheney broke their oaths. All we got from any of them was when Cheney gave Obama a dirty look at the inauguration.

That’s Bush - a real class act. Very respectful and behind the scenes, humble.

Folks criticize his policies for opinion, but him personally in true ignorance.

The following his an instance where Bush Sr. was more conservative than Reagan. IIRC though, Reagan did pull back later on his endorsement of the Brady Bill:

*********

From the Web:

[In a 1991 speech, Reagan said]: “I’m a member of the NRA. And my position on the right to bear arms is well known. But I support the Brady bill and I urge the Congress to enact it without delay. It’s just plain common sense that there be a waiting period [7 days] to allow local law enforcement officials to conduct background checks on those who wish to buy a handgun.”

The Brady bill was opposed by the current President, George H.W. Bush. “I don’t think it would be proper for me or any other ex-president to stand and tell an acting president what he should or shouldn’t do,” Reagan said. But then he added: “I happen to believe in the Brady Bill because we have the same thing in California right now.” [My note: Reagan began enacting numerous anti-gun laws while Governor.]

He was asked why he had opposed all gun-control measures while he was President. He shook his head. “I was against a lot of the ridiculous things that were proposed with regard to gun control.

Ok, I will buy that!

Breaking the tax pledge was definitely stupid.

I think even he would Agee.

Yes, they knew Obama was an avowed enemy of America.

Thanks.

I think I would agree with you to the following degree, to wit:

The Bush family has, over the years, become much to collegial and pedigree and dollar oriented with the result that the common man is, to a large extent, repulsed.

We see this illustrated often. Just one example is Bush Sr. Frolicking around the country with the most despicable American ever, Bill Clinton.
How can the common man see that picture and assimilate it! I can’t.

Another example is flying the Saudi thieves and terrorist enablers out of the country post 911. Clearly this was sucking up to the Saudi Royal Family, the most despicable people on the planet! Why?! Because to a Bush, if you have billions, they’ll talk and invite u into their inner sanctum.

Now, before a bunch of freepers jump me and tell me Obama is far worse than Clinton, please note I said “American” not “Kenyan”.

I still like Cheney but, like the Bush’s, if you have billions, he will break bread with you.

It seems that our post WW II politicians, with a few exceptions, are so dreadful that you just can’t judge them on one issue anymore. If you try that, you will not vote for anybody. Then, Liberals win because they “never let a good crisis go to waste”.

Politicians are kinda like Babs, she has (arguably) the best voice EVER. So, you want to like her. (Wish I could “like” W)

But, put Babs out in the middle of a highway with no one around and millions of her fellow Americans would run over her!

Well said!

Reagan was the last president who really looked out for the United States. It’s been special interests and globalization since.

And now our beloved military are being used to protect special interests and the globalization/New World Order agenda.

GHW bush used the term “New World Order” numerous times.

A socialist is a totalitarian using a soft glove rather than a hammer. The goal of brutal, total, centralized control is the same.
