Couple more points come to mind:

She presents no evidence that racism is this dominating factor in the lives of black Americans, she simply asserts it.

She’s pretty clearly got a good deal more European than African ancestry herself.

I think her definition, and the dictionary’s, of the word is wrong. I’d prefer it to mean hatred of members of other races, which is a secondary definition in some but not all dictionaries.

Many black people in America are a product of the same forces that teach the children in the West Bank and Gaza to hate the jews - there is always someone to blame. At some point any people fed garbage can no longer discern what true fare tastes like - this is the problem in America - the truth or reason are outside of the thought process of people taught to be angry. Kool! Great comments. Seems the Libs forget a few other things. Many Europeans, who didn't speak English were also “SOLD” even if they paid their passage, by unscrupulous sea captains. I believe the book stated “sold into slavery”, but most ceretainly involuntary servitude. Other European people were called indentured servants, a period of seven years, to pay off their passage, and then they were "free". Problem is, the term was 7 years and the average life epectancy was less than than 6 years,I believe (History Channel show). Anyone interested can gather the facts as they are scattered, e.g. history channel, newspapers, books by descendants or others trying to trace their earlier immigrant families, etc. Gather ALL the facts in one place.

Then, based on the theory, which car makes the best ATV, your personalcar or a rental? The rental is the obvious answer, so you worked the rented (indentured) person more than the one you “owned”. Even “paid people” were subject to “racisim” In N.O. it was the slaves tossing the cotton bails into the bottom of barges. The workers (mostly Irish) were supposed to “stack” (catch) the bails. If there were a critical broken back, guess who got that?

The logic of the above seems to be omitted in revisionist racist history. Just state the facts, not the predjudices in “history”. Slavery was a horror and it did this nation no good.
