Since “we” are too “civil” to respond to the whiners:

“I’m offended by your stupidity!”

There are two main reasons that some people get their way with “I’m offended.”

1) They belong to a group that blows things up and cuts off people’s heads, and whose ultimate goal is the suppression of Christianity.

2) They belong to a group whose behavior is incompatible with Christianity, and tolerance of which will eventually require the suppression of Christianity.

Part of the wussification process. Millions of people toiled away to build our once-great civilization over centuries - for the most part rather stoically.

Lawyers & legislators need us to be whiners so they can glom off the system.

If politicians can use it to get money and votes, expect it to be supported.

Atheism is supposedly incompatible with Christianity, yet I’m very tolerant and would vehemently fight against any suppression of Christianity (as in political suppression).

“I'm offended” only works for certain people, it never works for me. I'm offended every time Obama opens his mouth. I'm offended by terrorist sympathizer bumper stickers (i.e. Coexist). I'm offended by the commie clenched fist which is all to prevalent in WI. I'm offended by advertisers that talk at me as if I were an idiot. I'm offended by constantly having to hear about football. But no one cares when I am offended.

Never before have so many had so much for so little effort. And appreciated it less.

I too am offended when obama speaks. Therefore I never listen.

I am offended by advertisers. On the rare occasion when I watch TV, I mute the commercials.

I never watch football (but GO COWBOYS!)

I constantly speak out against islam and Marxism. I generally try to offend them right back.

My wife tells me that I am an a-hole sometimes. I just smile and say I know.

We now have a vast system of socialists, liberal foundations, lawyers, race baiters and politicians that produce nothing! They use political correctness to further their reach and control of society. We need to dismantle PC and the rest of the machine.

I used to get offended a lot... then I grew up.

Being sensitive about feeling inadequate (by definition, the state of adolescence) will cause you to feel offended a lot.

The civil rights movement demonstrated that there is power in victimhood. And where there’s power, there’s money.

Worse, the power of victimhood isn’t proportional to the “offense” and it isn’t allocated logically or consistently. Queers get to be offended because a Bible-believing baker won’t endorse their perversion by baking them a cake. But social conservatives aren’t allowed to be offended at a “gay pride” parade when presented with the stomach-turning spectacle of a 300-pound hairy crossdresser simulating fellatio on a man dressed as Pinnochio.

So the question becomes, who parcels out this power, what is its nature, and under what criteria is it allocated? And ultimately, to what end?

I’m offended by lying politicians who think voters are idiots whom they can fool to preserve their cushy living.

A man said to the universe:
“Sir, I exist!”
“However,” replied the universe,
“The fact has not created in me
A sense of obligation.”

Apparently it depends on who is offended. If you or I are offended, that’s just because we’re bigots, racists, homophobes, etc. If one of the protected classes is offended then there is a terrible hew and cry. It must be our fault and we need big government to immediately step in, slap us down, and issues some laws/regulations to ensure that the precious little darlings never get their feelers hurt again. PC liberals make me sick.

The problem is natural selection no longer exists on so many fronts now.

Whining and parasitic behaviors are now subsidized.

We live in the age of perpetual adolescence.

Some people grow up and some people just grow old.
