Billionaire investor Mark Cuban has some advice for the Republican Party: Drop the social issues.
"If I was going to give guidance to the Republican Party, ... I'd say, 'Stay completely out of social issues," Cuban said Tuesday morning on CNBC's "Squawk Box."
The "Shark Tank" star and Dallas Mavericks owner said this would allow the GOP to communicate a strong message on the economy.
"If you stay out of social issues, then the conversation from that side will only be about economics, and business, and growing business, and ideas," he said. "It should be easy!"
Cuban also said he would have expected today's policy-makers to agree with him, given that many of them grew up in the 1960s and 1970s.

BINGO!
ALL of our fiscal problems are the direct result of the perversion and/or abuse of the way government at all levels manipulate social issues. All of them.
Who is this idiot?
Yep.
Sure you can. If all the party stands for is whatever it takes for billionaires to stay that way, that is.
Often while watching Shark Tank I look at Cuban and there seems to be something evil about his facial appearance. I’m glad he explained it for me.
‘Stay completely out of social issues’
GFY
I agree with him.
Abortion is best counteracted with info and ultrasounds. Pro life office holders have accomplished little.
Gay marriage is toothpaste out of the tube.
Let’s save our country. Make it all about freedom*, small government, and economics and we will get back to our Free Republic.
*While we will win with an overall Freedom to all law abiders platform, freedom does mean freedom to exist, even if unborn. Freedom also means families can look different including with two daddies etc. Not all lifestyles will ever be approved of by all.
What a moron. God’s already pouring out His wrath on us, BECAUSE we’re calling Him a liar on social issues. So we need to keep poking Him with a sharp stick? And we listen to insane people like this???
No thanks, Mark.
I have no desire to live in Sodom and Gomorrah that just happens to have a free market economic system.
1. Start to pare back a lot of the unneeded and obsolete laws on the books--laws that are costing trillions per year to comply with.
2. Look at a serious overhaul of the income tax system with major simplification with very few--if any!--tax loopholes at a much lower tax rate than now.
Right now winning is important. Its actually imperative.
The GOP needs to stand for something that will actually save the country from economic ruin and get people back to work. There are 92 million people of working age out of work. I think they are waiting for a party or candidate with a plan that will get them a job and let them keep more money in their pocket.
It’s not so much staying out of social issues and carrying a pro-business message that is key. The proper role of government (including defending our borders) is the central message that should be the GOP focus.
Winning with human garbage only assists liberals.
Just leave your principles at the door.
Favor not killing babies, too bad; one man and one woman at a time = The Sacrament of Marriage, too bad; freedom of speech, too bad; Voter ID, too bad... I could go on, but why bother?
So Mr. Cuban, excuse me if some of us know the root cause of our declining nation and fight to restore the Law.
OK lets just let the Democrats stay in power. Real smart.
Winning with human garbage only assists liberals.
Human garbage is a pretty strong remark to make. I’m not a big fan of Scott Brown or Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan or David Perdue who is running for senate in GA but human garbage? No! Debbie Blabbermouth Schultz, Weiner, Feinstein, Reid, Obama, Hitlerly that’s human garbage.
Human garbage. It is the correct term for any two faced RINO that stabs his constituents in the back. Also applies to gay agenda backers, liars, globalists, global warmers, abortion backers, democrat sympathisers, amnesty proponents...you know...RINOS. And in Mitt specifically he hits every note on that piano. See his record for proof.
Interesting. I didn't know that.
Does he really believe this garbage?
