I agree with The Donald on this one. If Mitt had gone after Obama like he went after Newt he would be the President right now.

I expect Ted Cruz will have no trouble going after the Dem candidate.

I think Trump is a total blowhard, only cares about promoting himself, but I tell you one good thing about him is he isn’t afraid to speak his mind. He would absolutely eat Hitlery alive in a debate. He’s the kind of guy who would say “She had her husband pardon FALN terrorists so she could play Senator in New York which is about one of the most despicable, disgusting things I’ve ever seen any politician do in my life.” and he would go on like that, down the line with every freakin’ gate that bitch ever had in her life which is EXACTLY how Romney should have talked and why he lost!

“” What’s the track record of candidates we’ve had to hold our noses to vote for, so as not to be overpowered by the stench of Rinocrat?

1992...HW pi$$ed away a Desert Storm approval rating, lost to Bubba.

1996...Bob Dole, famously tagged as the tax collector for the welfare state.

2008...John McCain...first to go nuclear on fellow Repubs, but famously said we need not fear a Barack “no middle name” Obama presidency.

Mitt Romney...again went nuclear on fellow Repubs, went limp on Obama.

Those who say we need to hold our noses and vote for the Rinocrat need to show when that’s been a successful strategy.””

A nod to FReeper gogeo.

There’s another thing that goes with this. Plenty of us told the RINO/No matter what crew over and over exactly what would happen with almost total accuracy. Certainly all the big points we hit dead on. And we told them they were going to lose if they did it. Election after election. Some going back far further than me. Stevie Wonder saw this coming so we don’t have anything to be arrogant about. It was sorta obvious...

And yet we are supposed to feel shame for being correct. We are supposed to feel bad and simply shut up about being correct. We are supposed to stop trying to keep people from repeating their mistakes.

What freaking planet are we on today?

Back in 2006(way, way before any so-called expert spoke out) I warned a bunch of FRreepers that there was going to be a TRILLION dollar blood bath in the mortgage market. My reward? I was flamed with no mercy by dozens of FReepers. Some just refuse to see reality.

...they want a liberal GOP. It’s why they vote to liberalize it every election with increasingly left wing candidates.

They're voting out of fear. It's an insidious, but obvious trap, but they walk right into it anyway.

The GOP-e is In flagrante delicto with the Socialist Dems. They hold up their carefully groomed liberal candidates as a safe alternative to the scary candidates on the left, and the suckers fall for it every time.

They don't seem to notice that they're being used to advance the very agenda and revolutionary leftist changes upon this country they swear to oppose.

The immutable fact of life is, you get more of what you reward, and less of what you punish.

Giving ones vote to liberal RINOs is like giving food stamps and welfare to indigent parasites. It only reinforces their behavior and enables them to breed more of their kind.

” Another possibility is the GOPe is merely playing the part of the opposition and they win when they lose as much as when they actually win. “

Possibility? Try an ontological certainty.

Of that is absolutely part of it. But ultimately they do it anyway. They are willing to take that option and it still comes doen to ‘want’. they look at the lesser evil (snicker) and say “I would rather be whipped than run over.” So they want the whip.

Semantics? I really don’t think that’s the case. Just using reductionism, the bottom line is people do things they want to do and fight like banshees to avoid things they do not. In all things. It is wholly impossible to call what these people do ‘fighting it’ when A FULL TWO YEARS from an election they are not only trying to convince themselves, but others as well, that they will vote RINO again ‘no matter what’. Paving the road for a smoother ride isn’t fighting. It’s contributing.

Ergo, they want to.

I remember the “rule changes to promote liberals” in the last presidential convention. We must change the rules to favor us. I will not concede this party to the socialist wing. They have driven this party to defeat the last two presidential elections. They want Amnesty!! We are finished with doing the same thing over and expecting a different result.- the definition of insanity itself!!

I catch your drift, and in case It was not clear I believe Trump is not Conservative either.

He says Hillary is good, unsure if he is really pro life or even pro family.

He said a number of things that were reasonable, I liked that he said good things about Sarah Palin, but he is a big question mark at best imho

they look at the lesser evil (snicker) and say “I would rather be whipped than run over.” So they want the whip.

It's a pathological level of defeatism. I'm talking a bent and truly twisted state of mind.

A FULL TWO YEARS from an election they are not only trying to convince themselves, but others as well, that they will vote RINO again ‘no matter what’. Paving the road for a smoother ride isn’t fighting. It’s contributing.

Having compromised their personal integrity too many times to redeem themselves, they're now hell bent on assuaging their guilt by bullying others to commit the same reprobate behavior.

It's part of the mental pathology I mentioned before. They simply must prove themselves right, or be forced to confront the fact that they erred in the most egregious way -- which is something too horrible for them to contemplate.

Calls from such people for us 'purists' to abandon our principles and do the politically expedient thing, can sound persuasive and somewhat logical on the surface, but beneath the thin veneer of their arguments stands the ugly truth: Voting RINO only begets more RINOism, which ultimately results in Communism.

It's a ratchet. It only goes one way.
