Why not just do the “wedding” and for the readings do the biblical statements on homosexuality?

Homosexual SOBs would be lucky not to be chased off with a shotgun loaded with rock salt.

When even the for-profit, quickie wedding shacks in Vegas won’t perform your so-called wedding, you know you’ve hit bottom.

It will be interesting to see if “They’ll take care of you at the chapel down the street” will work, or if the offended couple will insist on a lawsuit to make THOSE chapels carry out the service.

Since the WHOLE POINT is to make Christians comply,
you can bet your boot that they will actually TARGET those chapels that refuse.

It will look like the bakery battles. Also, the chapels who had no problems with other husband-wife arrangements that the bible classically pans, especially wink/nod at divorcees, will have a difficult time explaining why their objections include this.

Sometimes a battle is needed to clarify spiritual issues.

1 Corinthians 11:19 (NIV)

19 No doubt there have to be differences among you to show which of you have God’s approval.

One verse wrenched well out of context?

I mean, 2 sinners can also differ and still both be standing on sin.

In a narrow way, maybe it could be a case in point. I let annoyance with folks who have no better view of God than as a parochial moralist (who will first say naughty naughty out loud, then wink at the “right” things) sometimes get my goat.

I agree, lawsuits to follow.

Drive through chapels must take all comers (sorry about the bad pun).

Check the specific terminology here “for profit” as if there’s a difference in a persons rights depending on whether or not they’re making money off of it. Theres no such delineation. But the socialists WANT it to be to further regulate and control the flow of wealth. You can believe whatever you want but you can’t make a livelihood off of it (write books, actually DO things, etc)

And this, does any person know if these two should not be married?
Yes?
Well then, come back when you are in a state of grace!
(Get the money up front).

I think they have already been targeting Christian businesses.

The Democrats welcomed the gay movement into the party fold back in the seventies. I stopped being a Democrat in the seventies when they embraced abortion and sodomy rights. I always think of the mob shouting “Give us Barabas” when I remember how they put these two perversities in their party platform. The Democrats sold their souls to the devil along with everyone who has been voting for them ever since. I know many people voted for them in ignorance but many knew what they stood for and they continued to support them.

And you didn’t have to be a prophet to predict that they would take a mile. Funny how many of these old sayings pack more wisdom than a room full of Harvard professors.
