Well, Laz, you have sparked my brickle. I had been thinking of taking up Spanish, to become fluent ‘someday’, but your reasoning is so close to my own regarding the innate conservatism of Hispanics that it is time to start the study process in earnest. Ola!

I agree. They are conservative, they just don’t know it yet (I think Reagan said that.)

I’m not working now but when I did I worked with many middle and lower middle class Hispanics, in almost every way they seemed conservative, but voted obama and democrat twice, the exceptions were a couple of Cubans, and like me they could not understand why so many vote democrat, and we had many political discussions that was like cracking coconuts.

The Cubans were fun and very animated in their conservative values, they had a fierceness about them in their expression.
