A nurse who was being quarantined at a New Jersey hospital after working with Ebola patients in Sierra Leone criticized her treatment on Saturday as an overreaction after an initial test found that she did not have the virus.
I am scared about how health care workers will be treated at airports when they declare that they have been fighting Ebola in West Africa, the nurse, Kaci Hickox, wrote in an essay on the website of The Dallas Morning News, in collaboration with a friend who works for the paper. I am scared that, like me, they will arrive and see a frenzy of disorganization, fear, and most frightening, quarantine.
She described being held in isolation for about seven hours at Newark Liberty International Airport on Friday, left alone for long stretches and given only a granola bar when she said she was hungry.

I'm sorry, until we know you can't kill anyone else, you can go on with your fears. Just imagine you're on a really bad cruise and suck it up buttercup.
It’s all about her, apparently
Sounds like she needs a whaaaaabulance.....
I’m sorry they only gave her a granola bar, but I’m pretty sure quarantine by either NY or NJ is not going to be a very “frightening” situation, unless you a frightened you might have ebola. But there’s nothing anyone can do about that.
Oh, boo-hoo. You feel so bad, don’t go to Africa.
she’s right, just stop the flights and she can stay out of the usa next time./s
Found out on the net she’s a graduate of UT Austin.
Also lots of pictures. Looks like a 21st Century hippie.
PS
The arrogance of these moonbat public health types is astonishing.
It’s like the facts of infectious disease don’t apply to them.
And that’s a bad sign... most folks who take these risks have a philanthropic vision. I’d say to her, that if you don’t, then please stay out of the picture, you’ll be a high-maintenance burden in the way.
Infinite compassion for strangers eight thousand miles away. None for her fellow Americans. Plenty of contempt and disdain though.
They need to find another way home. We have a large population to protect.
And... could it be... an ebola victim benefit vacation is her idea of an adventure? Except she wants to be able to call the adventure to a halt at a time of her own choosing?
Oh please, ma’am. Put your heart in it, or else don’t go.
Remember the old hippie song from Hair, “Easy to be Hard”?
“Especially people who care about strangers, who care about evil and social injustice! Do you only care about the bleeding crowd? How about a needy friend?”
She’s wacky....which is the first sign of Ebola (often)
TOUGH!
” given only a granola bar when she said she was hungry.”
There are children starving in Africa, they would do anything for that one granola bar.
Screw you little people, I am an Ebola superhero. Get out of my way, I have important things to do. Like go bowling and ride the subways
