Washington Post media reporter Erik Wemple called on CNN's Carol Costello to apologize to the Palin family in the same venue where she mocked audio of Bristol Palin reporting a physical assault: on-air.
Although Costello herself called for an ESPN anchor to be suspended for comments he made about a assault on a woman (after he had apologized on-air), thus far Costello has only issued a short written apology through CNN.

That’s my own rule. Whenever a media dunderhead makes a foo out of him/her/itself the apology must be delivered in the same time slot/manner/format as the original fubar. Our local newspaper tries to sneak in apologies/corrections someplace in the back of the paper and when I catch them I demand a do-over so that the correction/apology gets the same attention/exposure as the original flushup. It’s demanded by common courtesy and failure to do it right proves a dishonest motive in the first place. And that, in turn, could get a fire started.
WP has been doing some things right lately. And this was definitely the right thing to do.
Has FOX or talk radio done the same? They should be leading the charge. Costello should not get off easy.

Why would the Palin family want or care about a forced, fake apology from a libtard, stuck-up, anti-American blowhard like Costello? As with most lies, gossip and bullying, the behavior speaks louder about the perpetrator than any harm it does to the object of their hatred.
Carol Costello has demonstrated exactly who and what she is. No pretend “sorry” should be accepted as covering that up.
