If they are not the victims of the mean treatment from the opposition, they will invent the story of mean treatment. The Victim Card is their cover for their poor qualifications for public office.

The freak tries to rip apart the 1st & 4th Amendment and now plays a victim
card for an excuse? Hubris is all I can come up with.

It's my understanding that 82% of the voters in Houston stayed home,
or went to work, but didn't Vote. There's a lesson in there somewhere.

We already are that ‘suppository of different DNA’.
I am composed of the combined DNA of my parents.
They, the combined DNA of their parents...and so on.

Remember the good old days when you knew of a gay couple who didn't throw it in your face?

You must live in a big city. There were no publicly known gay couples around here.

I like the idea of denying licences to folks with 2 mothers, works for me

I'm not sure that the poor kid had any say in selection of her parents.

One thing for sure; one does not violate God’s Laws with impunity. Somewhere down the road, there will be a very high price to be paid.

I tend to think the most critical problems with ‘Frankenkids’ will not be biologic, once all pertainent medical history is known. It will be very important for all parents involved to be examined for chromosome health and viability. One should know if more than one parent has a recessive gene that could fester then develop in the child produced. One needs to know the chances of a certain genetic combination not likely to produce healthy children. Know and prepare or know then prevent.

I think the biggest problems will be social, with too many cooks, so to speak, trying to advise and guide the child. It’s hard enough with just two parents deciding on things like which school, or home school, which doctor, or maybe no doctor save a shaman, does a 2 year old’s temper tantrum merit a complete psychologic analysis plus medications? Jeans and Jordans or Scout uniforms made of Taffeta? Let’s not even talk about churches, not yet, or gifts, or diets, or choosing their friends, or spanking. Yes, I said spanking.

The sad thing is that the young girl does have a father. It is sad that the sperm donor has a daughter that is doomed for a terrible life because of the mother’s chosen life-style.

So I want to know if she is lying and claiming they didn't accept the paperwork because of listing two mothers, or did she not have the correct paperwork?

Gee, I didn't make a huge stink when they denied my son a license because we were homeschoolers. I stood there while the clerk told me we had to have a school ID. I said repeatedly we were homeschoolers and I could vouch for my son being a student in our home school. I was turned away.

I got home, googled "ID needed for Tx DPS Drivers license" and found a form to print and turn in. It was a paper to PROVE my son was being homeschooled and needed MY signature on it. I'm not joking. They refused to allow me to verify it in person, but I could sign a piece of paper and hand it back to them and that would be fine.

And total BS that this mayor hasn't made being a lesiban a big part of her reign....she does it constantly.

If you're talking about the in-vitro fertilization procedure I think you are, this has been an experimental technique for almost twenty years. What's new is that Britain is considering the legalization of the practice. A handful of kids were conceived in the US but the IVF procedure was banned here, and throughout the world, in 2002.

Anyway, the child is not actually a product of three hereditary parents. Our "gene splicing" technology isn't good enough for that, yet. Here's what happens: the mitochondria in our cells are organelles that produce energy. There is strong evidence they once existed as independent organisms: they have their own DNA, and they reproduce independently of our cells.

You can only get mitochondrial DNA from your mother. Sperm cells don't contain mitochondria, but your mother's egg did. When the egg cell divided after fertilization, her mitochondria were subsequently propagated into your cells. Some women cannot produce viable offspring because they have mitochondrial defect diseases.

This "Three Parent" IVF process combines haploids from both parents with mitochondria from a third person.

None of what we normally consider heritable characteristics come from the third "parent." Just some cell parts. As usual, sensationalist press stories got it all wrong...
