I wonder if the objectors to the “Don’t Tread on Me” flag know that they were NOT worn by citizens of the United States. They were BRITISH SUBJECTS, one and all, who were fed up with the abuses of their government. At that time there was no such thing as an “AMERICAN”.
Not until July 4, 1776 did those people become what is called “AMERICANS”, and not for several heart-breaking years could they show the world, for all time, who they were.
Today, we see CITIZENS proclaiming to that world, that once again, we are fed up with governmental abuses.
It had nothing to do with Democrat or Republican, but the free speech statement of Americans.
Wow. Republicans will find little opposition then when SHTF. Righteous.
The little “I VOTED” stickers have Old Glory on them - as does the NRA logo. Better ban those stickers too.
No matter what, a real man would have taken his hat off when entering the building.
No matter what the hat said.
A gentleman usually removes his hat indoors, or should.
and yet they NOW allow Obama t-shirts in line.
The hat is the property of the individual unless it is saying something threatening, it’s that man’s right to have his hat on. Manners, don’t think so.
I was told to remove my hat once at the polling place, but admit they were likely within their rights.
My hat had....’Clinton and Gore, gone in four’ on it.
Thank God he wasn’t wearing an American flag pin!... that could’ve really riled them up!
That was my first thought when I read the headline. Shame it took 44 posts to see somebody make the point.
PS - I would have said to call the cops. Free speech and all that.
I believe I saw her on a Chick-fil-A commercial.
Staring a two guys with burgers.
I think I’ll wear my NRA-ILA hat to the polls Nov 4th.
It’s a shame after these posts you agree with the manner issue versus someone’s individual rights and the state overreaching of one’s personal freedoms. Man, you people are really something.
I would bet some leftists would complain if you wore an American flag lapel pin when voting. Some people just need to be educated.
Only is there are consequences. Could this be an attempt at voter suppression? Do we need a procession of different hats to see which ones pass muster with the poll workers? Sounds like another Project Veritas opportunity.
Yep.
I always think of Bum Phillips...
**As coach of the Oilers, he became the winningest coach in franchise history (59-38 record). He was known for his trademark cowboy hat on the sidelines, except when the Oilers played in the Astrodome or other domed stadiums. He stated that his mother taught him not to wear a hat indoors; his former boss Bear Bryant similarly refused to wear his trademark fedora during indoor games.
IOW
Bureaucrat ruled!:
THOUGHT CRIME
GUILTY!!!
The courts have found that anything that suggests associated with the NRA in many peoples perceptions is associated with the Republican party,
Which court?
Give me a cite!
