The laws against wearing political apparel in the voting precinct is stupid.

Back in 1996 when my niece was engaged, her future husband waited in line for 3 hours at a polling station on Detroit's predominately black east side.

When he finally ENTERED THE BUILDING, he was given a pamphlet by an apparent democrap operative that was identical to the butterfly ballot in the polling booth.

That pamphlet had the photos of all candidates with red "x's" superimposed over the candidates they did not want people to vote for. All the black voters had to do was lay that pamphlet over the pages of the butterfly ballot and vote for the candidates being supported by that pamphlet.

That was a blatant violation of voting laws but yet the polling station had no desire to enforce those laws........

One of the first few times I voted, I was made to take off a pro-second amendment t-shirt. And there were no gun initiatives on the ballot. That’s been like 20 years ago. P’d me off.

" a Douglasville, Georgia man says he was asked to remove a hat he wears everywhere, one that reads “NRA Instructor,” because poll workers said it was too closely associated with the Republican party."

Of course pictures of the messiah complete with scripture in the polling place itself are no problem at all.

"Laurie Fulton, the Douglas County board of elections supervisor, explained that the decision was made out of an abundance of caution"

I associated Laurie Fulton, the Douglas County board of elections supervisor with being a demonicrat and traitor. When can we expect Laurie Fulton to be removed from the Douglas County Board of Elections out of an abundance of caution?

Mr. Cobb was foolish for complying. He should have stood his ground and NOT removed his hat.

To follow precedent, Laurie Fulton Douglas County Elections commissioner should be putting an end to any type of logos or identifying characteristics from Obama trademarks to peace signs, marijuana leaves, AARP, Prius, ecology, Microsoft, Apple, CostCo, NPR, ESPN, NBA, and sooooo many more.

My thought is that if you drag such election workers out of the building and beat them with a 12 pound sledge hammer, they won’t make such stupid statements.

Excellent! This story is worth an additional 20,000 votes from NRA members next week.

2nd Amendment advocates, more than most people, should be particularly cognizant of the need to couple individual rights with self-discipline and the observance of good manners.
I agree that an armed society is a polite society. Polite societies consist of people exercising a little courtesy.

I also have a Molon Labe cap. But I think I'll wear this one in my collection, instead:

(more likely)

“Fulton also discussed how she handles politicized speech and apparel in her office. Once, Fulton said, she wore a “Rosie the Riveter” t-shirt to work, and a co-worker complained that it was too political. Since then, she says she ....”

Couldn’t wait to use the power of her position to exact revenge on some innocent NON-DEMOCRAT voter.

“The courts have found that anything that suggests associated with the NRA in many people’s perceptions is associated with the Republican party,” Fulton told Fox Atlanta. “So in an overabundance of caution Mr. Cobb was asked to remove the hat so that no one could interpret that we were playing any favoritism over one party versus the other.”

I love this "overabundance of caution" meme that's been overused lately. Where was overabundance of caution in Philly when the Black Panther thugs were walking around at the polls with big clubs muttering about crackers? WOuld it have been an "overabundance of caution" to associate them with racist Democrats? Apparently not, according to Holder's DOJ.

Well it also once stood for the National Recovery Administration which was part of the new deal. Something closely associated with the FDR dim party. They had logos with stickers and stuff too.
