Is it time for Mississippi conservatives to teach the GOPe a lesson and vote for Travis Childers?

Susan Collins.

Your theory is already wrong. Now go do what is right for the country and vote principles, not party.

I agree.

Anything that would keep Harry Reid in power is WRONG.

Better strategy: Vote REPUBLICAN and then proceed to torment THAD for 6 years. He will at least organize and vote with Republicans.

We MUST take Reid out as Leader of the Senate.

Losing is no plan.

“This is the one race this cycle that I agree...wipe out Cochran and come back in 6 years to retake the seat. Their racist attacks in the runoff were the most offensive action ever taken in a primary race. It is abhorrent.”

Exactly! In this instance, the GOPE has been operating just like the RATs. There is NO DIFFERENCE! This mush headed notion that we just HAVE to support REPUBICANS no matter what they’ve done doesn’t wash with me any longer. IF we are not willing to crash the GOPE’s game, we will never see our country free again! Just look at the long line of losers we’ve had to endure from the “It’s My Turn GOPE!” There hasn’t been a decent GOP presidential candidate since Ronald Reagan, and even he had to “accept” a BOOSH as part of the deal for the GOPE to hold their noses and support him. Now, we are going to watch as the GOPE “anoints” the Mexican Boosh for 2016.

The big problem with taking out McConnell is that there are six or seven arguments working against him. Too out of touch with KY. Too much of a deal maker. Too old. Raised money for Cochrane. Etc.

You’d see a lot of post-loss analysis rationalizing about which issue mattered most. Which would dilute any “message” that his defeat would send. Like what happened with Brats victory over Cantor, which is attributed by a lot of people to his not spending physical time in the district, rather than being a RINO.

Cochrane’s behavior in the runoff is unambiguous. If he loses because Conservatives cross to vote for Childers it can and will be directly attributed to those slimy race-bating tactics. There won’t be any rationalizing, because the root cause will be obvious.

Cochran will win easily. In fact, the race will be declared the moment the polls close and everyone here will be shocked and stunned and will disbelieve and then the conspiracy theories will begin that will last for years.

I can't wait.

Thad plans on retiring immediately after winning the election, so that the MS GOP-e can replace him with another one of their own.

Anyone that thinks Cochran has earned their vote needs their head examined.

If I lived in Boehner’s district I would vote for the Democrat.

However, 6 years is a long time.

These jerks still can’t figure out that Rino Romney lost because 4 million conservatives stayed home.

He still won the precious independent vote.

They’re the SAME idiots telling us to vote for Cochran and the other GOPe’ers

A vote for Cochran is a vote for Haley Barbour’s corrupt son, and a vote in favor of being manipulated by back room deals by corrupt politicians.

Agreed. Louisville Courier Journal had an article this morning about how Jefferson County has seen an increase of over 22,000 voters since 2012. 18,000 of which have registered as Democrats.

The Dems know how to maximize voter registration and turnout (Catalist). I think it’s likely McConnell will win, but it’s not a safe bet and will hinge on the Dems turnout machine.

It is THE sane vote in Mississippi. I would accept a Democrat Senate if it would mean that McConnell and Cochran go away. With them a Republican Senate will be no worse a Democrat Senate other than making it easier to get Democrat judges approved and EOs ignored.

I just attribute all these purist litmus threads to voter suppression trolls and useful idiots helping voter suppression.

Imagine what happens when you have a Senator Cruz as chairman of a committee.

Imagine what happens when republicans now have senate subpoena powers.

Chris McDonald won the GOP primary. Thad the Cad committed gross, epic-level fraud. He should be headed to prison, not to the Senate.

Never, ever, ever buy into that “I promise to be an independent voice in Washington” crap from any democrat.. ever. Their party comes first and foremost.. much of the country could go up in a mushroom cloud, but if it leaves the dems in power over what’s left, they’d be thrilled.

I’ve voted for the Republican primary winner or nominee for the past 50 years, never having missed a primary, election or runoff, or voted for ademocrat, I was not comfortable to say the least but I supported them with my time, influence, money and vote. I’ll NOT voye for cochgran, of course I’ll not vote for childers, the democrat either or a third party “reform” party perinnal candidate. I’m writing in McDaniel, I know it won’t count. cochran will probably win but if he doesn’t it’s not my fault, that would lie with the NRSC, the Mississippi gop and the barbours. I have no doubt that cochran will retire but possibly we can make an impact before he does and make some changes in the Mississippi Rrepublican party and get a Conservative Senator appointed for a change instead of a barbour shil. POHB
There are a few errors in this something has happend to my PC and I cannot delete an error.

I operate on the theory that the worst Republican is always better than the best Democrat.

Acting on that theory has guaranteed the we get the worst Republicans ... and a bloated, abusive, unconstitutional government.

Do you really think that McCain or Romney wanted to win?
Think again.

Vote REPUBLICAN and then proceed to torment THAD for 6 years. He will not give a darn what you do to "torment" him. If you voted for him, YOU VOTED FOR HIM. Your vote is all he wants from you. What are you going to do, threaten not to vote for him next time?

Thats the sort of thing I’m talking about.

Lots of evidence out there that Romney lost because his GOTV system (ORCA) imploded on election day, while Obama’s (Narwhal/Catalist) performed as advertised. Read the Breitbart (ORCA) and PJ Media (Catalist) articles on those.

They effectively undercut (legitimately, IMHO, based on my knowlege of how big-data systems work) the argument that ticked off Conservatives sat the election out.
