I'm sure he's constantly looking over his shoulder. My guess is that if he's toppled, his entire clan will be killed, the way deposed royal lines used to be exterminated in order to pre-empt any problems from pretenders to the throne related to the former rulers.

Heck, if you knew he was a disturbed lil chubby dictator and your chances of pissin him off for some petty thing or another and you only have a 50/50 chance of surviving around this guy....I'd take the opportunity to free my fellow countrymen/women of his tyranny.

So, like in the photo, notice none of them have side arms. They huddle around, pretend to interest oneself in his rantings, his odd behavior. Writing down every lil tid-bit as if you harbor some sort of loyalty to this nut.
