Ebola nurse Kaci Hickox violates quarantine, dares you to do something about it

Once portrayed in the press as the face of noble resistance to Gov. Chris Christie’s draconian policy of consigning health care workers who were potentially exposed to Ebola in West Africa to a mandatory quarantine, nurse Kaci Hickox is rapidly expending the media’s politically-motivated goodwill.

While it is fair to say that most members of the medical community believe that Hickox is not a threat to those around her – she has tested negative for the disease, reports that she is feeling fine, and would not be contagious at this stage even if she were infected – some medical professionals are not entirely positive that Ebola cannot be spread by asymptomatic individuals. It is out of an abundance of caution that a number of states, including Hickox’s home state of Maine, have requested that at-risk individuals abide by a voluntary in-home quarantine.

Hickox is not playing a long. The media darling who threatened to sue the state of New Jersey for violating her constitutional rights is now insisting that she will not self-isolate. On Thursday, Hickox left her house for a bike ride with her boyfriend.

“Kaci Hickox and her boyfriend stepped out of their home Thursday morning and rode away on bicycles, followed by state police who were monitoring her movements and public interactions,” the Associated Press reported. “Police couldn’t detain her without a court order signed by a judge.”

Hickox contends there’s no need for quarantine because she’s showing no symptoms. She’s also tested negative for the deadly disease.

State officials were going to court in an effort to detain Hickox for the remainder of the 21-day incubation period for Ebola that ends on Nov. 10.

It was the second time Hickox broke quarantine.

What she does is HER business, but if I saw her running towards my front door, she’d get a BIG dose of Buckshot, of course then I’d have a potential bio-hazard on my front lawn, requiring a massive cleanup!

I am kind of hoping that she gets Ebola and dies in horrible agony; after infecting her boy friend, lawyer and any other libtard that comes in contact with her.
Terrible thing to say; I know, but at least that would get the rest of the lib/prog/commie dumbasses that are defending her to start thinking about quarantine.
Except Obastard and Holder, they would just call it racism.

Has anyone searched to see if she actually has a nurses’s license? Only because I’m not sure that I’ve seen “Kaci Hickox, RN”.

Putting on my tinfoil hat here: What if this is a set up? We know she works for CDC and is possibly a dem/lib activist. It's possible she is “resisting” the quarantine in order to “force” the govt’s hand (state and/or fed) into mandating a quarantine, thereby setting a precedent that could infringe on all of our civil liberties, esp those of us from the red state areas.

That is exactly what I have been thinking lately.

She may have won the battle; but, I think she will lose the war.

Nursing and the Medical profession in general depend a lot on people following their instructions, policies, and procedures. Yes there are times when questions need to be asked for the betterment of the patient, not one’s ego.

IMHO she needs to keep her current job at all costs. What hospital administrator would hire a new nurse who puts her needs/wants/ego ahead of others?

Several years ago, I was walking around the Nightingale Museum in London when I overheard an American nurse telling the docent about her leadership in the nurses’ union. The docent replied in horror: “Florence Nightingale didn’t believe in unions for nurses! That’s a disgrace.” Nightingale was exceedingly tough on her nurses.

IMO, this is all a staged incident, with the full co-op (if not outright direction) of the Ebola Czar and all the shady characters involved, including this CDC trained clown “nurse” to downplay the severity of Ebola and prevent a panic from the populace (this is a PR issue).

I believe she truly doesn’t have Ebola, and am even more inclined to believe she was “hand picked” by the CDC and the Czar to be the poster child for the “don’t panic, everything will be fine” crowd. She was created into a high profile individual by a manic complicit media, directed to be defiant and confrontational, so that all eyes and ears are tuned in.

When nothing comes about, there will be hit pieces all over the airways, interviews, etc. blasting the fear mongers and all those who wanted to put people in quarantine (republicans, conservatives, preppers, etc) and praising those who want to keep travel open, people “free”, and remain calm with their false “don’t worry” approach (Obama, CDC, etc), all while truly downplaying the danger of this killer virus which will decimate our close-knit interconnected society once it has time to colonize.

Thesis - Anti-Thesis - Synthesis.

...And I’m not talking about a court proceeding.

Would that require a defense fund?

Much of this, look for drive-bys to take action.

I know this is inconvenient for her, but does she realize that she is contributing to the end result that nobody can be held in quarantine?

Her behavior is disgusting.  She couldn't wait to ride her bike, so she is breaking quarantine to do it.  What a child!

Do nurses have ethical codes or licensing bodies. In many professions (mine included, you can get your license pulled if convicted of a serious crime. Seems blatantly defying the law would violate ethics.

“...does she realize that she is contributing to the end result that nobody can be held in quarantine?”

Or conversely, that everyone could be held in quarantine. Given the evil nature of these fascists turds, either move could be a win-win situation.

Watch for her in a future centerfold issue of Playboy, Hustler etc. She isn’t nurse material. Plus she will be a star at the Democrat convention.

I’d like to see her try to walk around a crowded area or stroll into a restaurant. She’s basically a coward. Going for a bike ride in an open area to pull our chain.

When it comes to a disease that can cause massive disruption to our society, there has to be some leeway. I don’t condone quarantine for most things, but there are a few exceptions.

I agree completely. The problem is that I have no faith in the gov’t to do the right thing. I'm trying to view this through the eyes of a Cloward-Pivens strategist. What moves would this govt make to cause maximal damage?
1) Do not quarantine and eventually we will have the pandemic that we all are hoping to avoid, Obola gets his martial law.
2) Forcibly quarantine and then precedent is set for future individuals who may or may not be at risk. After the elections next week, we may start hearing about cases popping up all over Dallas, NY, Atlanta; mandatory quarantines may be announced “out of an abundance of caution” over entire metro areas. Obola gets de facto martial law.
Hope I'm wrong.
