Ted Cruz: Republicans On Verge Of ‘Historic Election’
Daily Caller ^ | 11:21 PM 10/30/2014 | Alex Griswold

Posted on 10/31/2014 8:36:29 AM PDT by SoConPubbie

Appearing on “Hannity,” Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz said that he believed Republicans were on the cusp of an “historic election.”

You know, what I’m seeing on the ground is a lot of excitement, a lot of enthusiasm. I think we are on the verge of an historic election night next Tuesday. I think Republicans are going to retake the U.S. Senate. I think we’re going to retire Harry Reid as Majority Leader. And I tell you Sean, at this point it all comes down to if conservatives show up and vote, and if we get our friends and family and others to show up and vote, we’re going to retake the Senate, and I think that’s exactly what’s going to happen.

"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

If we give the spineless bastids 2/3 in both houses,
we gotta be in their faces every day to get the Obama agenda rolled back.

OK. Ted Cruz asked us to get out and vote. I am assuming we like and trust Cruz. So, let’s get out there, take the Senate and at the same time with our numbers scare the crap out of the RINO’s.

Agree. The “this won’t mean an appeal to ObamaCare” statement I heard this week. What?

We don’t need DemonRats Lite. We need to stop amnesty, Ebola insanity, ZeroCare, special prosecutor for fast and furious and the VA and Benghazi, and impeach the offenders.

If Congress started passing items about ebola, the border, and various other issues,

just watch how fast the left will flip on its head and say that the Constitution doesn’t give Congress the power to make laws in these areas.

I would be very happy to see Republicans control the House and Senate even though I essentially voted “NO VOTE” yesterday in the Mississippi Senate race. I would be even happier if the new House and Senate majorities dumped mConnell and boehner from leadership.

Two-Step Process, Mr. B.

(1) Get the non-Obama voters off their ass to vote.
(2) Get the people we vote for off theirs.

Because winning this election, if the "Republicans" actually pull it off, if the "Republicans" will fight the inevitable fraud, is just the beginning. We have had a hopeful start before this, only to see it peter out in the Bush Congress, which attempted to out-Democrat the democrats. We saw the Contract on America fizzle.

We actually have to become like the Democrats in one important way. That is, we have to become much more concerned with politics. We have to be in the bland Republican faces of those whom we elect until they get off their self-aggrandizing asses and save the Republic. No more business as usual with those SOBs across the aisle.

Republicans on the verge of perhaps NOT taking back the Senate when this should have been a slam dunk many months ago.

Let’s not put lipstick on the GOPe pig.

Typical deceitful nonsense from the "Republican first, conservative maybe" crowd.

We aren't dismayed by a Republican victory, we want a Republican victory, we just want pretend Republican GOP-E candidates like Thad Cochran, Mitch McConnell, Lindsey Graham et. al. Defeated.

” However many posters on FR are very dismayed with a Republican victory.”

Not really. We are dismayed at all the promises they break, and the lies they told us, once they win.

Do you think that Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, and Allen West want them defeated? I wish we could ask them and get their responses here.
