Gosh, it’s almost as if he was never serious about overthrowing Assad in the first place; never serious about supporting Turkey; never serious about opposing Turkey; never serious about arming rebels (the US has never given any significant amount of arms or ammo to any Syrian opposition group, contrary to what the drivel-dribblers say here on FR); never serious about helping the Kurds defend themselves; never serious about preventing genocide and enslavement of the Yazidi; never serious about stopping the Iranian mullahcracy from getting nuclear weapons; *was* serious when he told the dictatorship in Russia that he’d have more leeway after the 2012 election...
