It's like battered wife syndrome...

These people get lied to, kicked in the teeth, beat and betrayed over and over and they keep coming back for more and more...

Battered voter syndrome?

A pattern of signs and symptoms, such as fear and a perceived inability to escape, appearing in voters who are physically and mentally abused over and over.

That’s the POINT. I voted Perot “to teach the GOP a lesson”, Which I regretted. Vote for the GOP guy, even though it stinks this time.

There we have it........ testimony offering truth

You, too, huh?

It's true that GHWB wasn't anything to write home about. But it turned out the alternative was a massive mistake -- corrupt beyond imagination.

Good point. A lot of my friends did that. The damage is still with us. And getting ready to run for president in 2016.

I am glad you figured it out, tell Finny. Most perot voters won't admit that what they did was wrong. I commend you.

OK, so IF Jimmy Carter won in 1980 we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

GO BACK TO SLEEP!

Damn Norm. 9 hours later and you even brought in supplies.

I’ve walked three liberal dogs and shot a squirrel in that time. Get yourself some food. Maybe cater the event.

50sDad: I voted Perot “to teach the GOP a lesson”, Which I regretted.

Ditter: I am glad you figured it out, tell Finny. Most perot voters won't admit that what they did was wrong. I commend you.

As it happens was as ticked off at Perot voters are you guys were -- I voted straight Republican ticket. As I have done every election since 1976. That is, until 2012.

I used to think just like most of the posters on this thread -- support the Republican whatever the cost. I subscribed to it for DECADES and it has only made things worse. HELLO??????????? Anybody home?

I woke up in 2012. I voted third party and regard your vote for Romney in 2012 as something you did that was wrong that you refuse to admit was wrong. But it was wrong and you're damned lucky the bastard lost.

So get over it. If the guy had won and done what Romney has always done, you guys who voted "against" Obama would be the first to deny culpability.

This isn't about "teaching a lesson." Excuse me, but consciously voting for pond scum like Cochran is destined for disaster if the bastard wins. YIKES!!! Intentions are dreams. Actions have consequences. When you vote for liberals ... YOU GET LIBERALISM.

When are you going to figure that out? It only took me 30 years!

I’m the guy telling people to vote for conservatives. Your lack of understanding the situation is your problem.

"I'm the guy" - really? Amazing. The lack of understanding is that you seem to think you are defined by who you vote for; that voting for only conservatives somehow makes you more conservative than the guy who votes for a Romney (Jim Robinson anyone?).

No my friend, the way you live your life defines you. Do you really think you're more conservative than me (or JimRob) when it comes to the 2nd Amendment, abortion, or a host of other issues? I doubt it.

When I vote, I'm not picking a mate, a baby-sitter, my priest, my best friend, or my business partner. I'm picking a politician, I'm casting a vote, and in the end I'm taking a gamble. I'm gambling that the guy I pick can make a difference in moving the governance of this country in the way I would like to see it go.

Note the operative word: can

Obviously, your write-in candidates can't. They won't be elected, that can't form coalitions with elected conservative legislators. They are a protest vote - nothing more.

I don’t even know where to start. Where do you even come up with the drooling idiocy you posted above? Where? What exactly do you think standing on principle is? What purpose do you ‘feel’ it serves?

On second thought, don’t bother answering. I’m not real concerned with your amateur psycho analysis or the results you can imagine up.

PS, Jim admitted he made an error. Had a post about it a while back IIRC (and I do) Take it up with him.

What IF.......... the vote is totally manipulated in most districts?... Federal, and even State and Local in some places....

Arguing about voting tactics then... would be a grand delusion..
What appears to be isn’t, what happens is what is SUPPOSED to happen..
Decided by “SOMEONE”... or a cabal of somebody’s...

like Logans Run.. -OR- the same process in degrees of totality..

Like Pavlov’s dogs... ignoring the whistle zoned in on the “reward”..
Like the 2012 republican convention where a KNOWN obvious collaborator with democrats, a shill, was chosen(Myth Romney).. AND.... several well know conservatives were rejected...
You Know............. BY CONSERVATIVES...
/ or was he?/

If you read my post again, I allude to defeating the RINO in the NEXT PRIMARY if he/she can not be persuaded to vote more conservative. The incumbent democrat will be difficult to defeat in the next GENERAL election, as an incumbent.

General versus Primary are completely different situations. You should try to understand the difference.

Go VOTE; vote GOP so to vanquish the Democrats. We have to staunch the bleeding before the "patient" — our American civil order — can be restored to health again. Otherwise, the patient will just bleed out and die. What would that mean for our kids and grandkids?

Indeed. First things first.

Thank you for all your insights, dearest sister in Christ!

I recall people demanding all vote for Bush no matter what. On and on... All were urged to save all that immigration stuff until AFTER he was elected. All that could wait ya know.

People were routinely called “single issue voters”. Those concerned with the security of our homeland and wide scale violence and wholesale lawlessness were labeled malcontents.

And here we go again....

When you vote for liberals ... YOU GET LIBERALISM.

The dirty secret the GOPe can't let out of the bag, because once you realize this it castrates their yells of vote for our guy; the other guy's worse.
