you assume everyone has the same rules. not all religions treat this sad practice the same.
what God clearly said to you is not necessarily what God said to someone else. you are smug in your certainty of what God wants for everyone. why don’t you worry about yourself and quit condemning people for God. Its all very well to condemn until you become in the same situation as the young woman whose not only terminally ill, but with a huge brain tumor that surely affects her thinking processes.
“Judge not less ye be judged”: Matthew 7:1
People who actually have a close loving acquaintance with the Lord can tell of the fine points. “Dutiful obeyers” (i.e. a flesh thang) are the ones who come up with such blanket statements.
Everyone DOES have the same rules. Whether they admit it or not, the God of the bible is the only God. He gave us the rules and we are all accountable to live by them.

I've read the bible, He lays it out pretty blatantly in black and white. "Thou shalt not murder"
why dont you worry about yourself and quit condemning people for God. Its all very well to condemn until you become in the same situation as the young woman whose not only terminally ill,
I didn't condemn anyone. I merely pointed out that God condemns murderers to hell.
but with a huge brain tumor that surely affects her thinking processes.
Finally an excellent point. There is a small loophole here that she might have possibly squeaked through. God does not hold us to account for actions that are beyond our control (for example, the insane are not guilty of crimes as they cannot judge right from wrong). However, her wordsa dn actions leading up to her self-murder don't give me much hope for her.
Judge not less ye be judged: Matthew 7:1
Why oh why do people never continue the thought? "For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again" Matt 7:2 (KJV)
I only judge people by the standards that I am required to live by. I will be judged against the bible. I have absolutely no fear of that, even though I fail daily to live up to it, because Jesus stood in my place, and paid teh price of my sin and failure. Therefore I can stand in His place and reap the reward of His perfection.
The bible tells us in multiple places that we are supposed to judge. The thing is that we are supposed to judge righteously!
