Well, best of luck in the twilight zone.
I takes an adult to understand that statement.
Look Hard. It’s a tough history read.
You gave up your youthful ghost on this.
You’re a sharp person, but this isn’t one of your better moments. Suck it up and do what needs doing. In many cases there may not be much to vote for, but there is certainly a lot to vote against.
Well, best of luck in the twilight zone.
I enjoy the banter.
Where you screwed up was the Reagan writer.
Her name was Peggy Noonan.
Have a good evening.
I may as well. you have no clue either. I mean my God. you are on FR...two of you and you really are clueless as to RR’s 80% rule? Not worth the time to explain it. Look it up or not. your call.
No point taking this further. We don’t speak the same language.
you confused me. Nut uncommon with you. I also realized the ref and replied. did you miss it?
Nervous Tick: “Ah, so that 80% rule is just your fantasy bullshit, then.”
Norm Lenhart: “My God you really dont know.”
Brazen display of ignorance, wouldn’t you say? Even a half fast student like me knows the answer to that one.
You need to reconsider. Our country is being destroyed....to at least slow this nightmare down, she needs your vote.
Brazen is an apt choice of words. It’s rare that I get taken to shocked speechlessness but my daughter asked me what was wrong because I was literally stammering when I read that. No joke.
How does one that claims to be here any number of years, be here through multiple elections and BOT know or have heard of one of or maybe even the most commonly understood and oft repeated phrase in/of/associated with conservatism? How? It isn’t possible. It isn’t credible.
I cannot remember a day that the 80% rule isn’t invoked by name or concept on any number of subjects/articles/posts. It’s like breathing. It is inherent to conservatism. It was part of, one of, if not THE, most consequential speeches Reagan ever made and he was not the first conservative to ever broach the general concept.
One would have to brazenly avoid reality to be ignorant of the 80% figure to conservatism. And one would have to ‘brazen it out’ solely for the purpose of making their ‘point’. Because if we asked people on FR at random if ‘Norm Lenhart’ or anyone else invented that number as a ‘fantasy’, they’d fall over laughing at the idea. Whether they were a ‘forum prince’ (whatever THAT is) or not.
My head hurts.
If the gop-e wins big today, you will not see them run on anything of note in 2016. Indeed, why should they? If running on nothing is demonstrated to be an effective strategy, why change?
As for “comservatives”, if they act like battered wives, they shouldn’t act surprised when they’re treated like battered wives.
BS. Voting the lesser of two evils only makes your party evil.
Instead of stupidly trying to shame your voters into going against their morals why not do something revolutionary an new and give the base someone to VOTE FOR!
By staying away you ensure more power to Obama. By voting you amstring obama
How, exactly, did the Republicans “go along with” the vote that made Obamacare law?
Reagan had another rule, his Eleventh Commandment: “Never speak ill of another Republican.”
Anybody listening?
In all the writing I read on and by Reagan (a lot) I never saw him advocate supporting open liberals. The 11th isn’t a suicide pact because some jackass has an R attached with velcro.
If you want to take the 11th out to extremes, would Bill clinton suddenly be off limits if he called himself R ? Nope. And neither are the Mitch types.
