Voters reported having to pay to leave the parking lot adjacent to Georgia Tech’s student center polling site, despite signs announcing free parking.

Here we go. Before its over, the AJC will be claiming that Georgia's Jim Crow parking laws suppressed the minority vote and kept the evil Republicans in power.

“It was only $2 but it’s the point that you shouldn’t have to pay to vote.”

You're paying to park, not to vote dummy. My doctor's in an office park that charges $1 an hour for parking - keeps the 'riffraff' out of his office.

The day is young, the enemy is just awakening and hasn’t had it’s WIC breakfast/lunch yet.

Report from Kansas...a state that some believe will dictate who controls the senate:

Relatively long line at my fairly red polling station. Not the longest I’ve ever seen...but this is a mid-term. I took that as a positive sign.

Also, we have voter ID...and it actually helps speed up the process. No longer does a volunteer have to ask you how to spell your name, and flip through a ledger book. The scanner reads a code on my license, and I sign an electronic pad - very quick. Just another reason to use voter ID.

I think the Orman candidacy has been such a dishonest stunt, that it is driving turnout against him...which will also help Brownback. in his race. We’ll see.

Not that it matters as far as the GOP is concerned, because I am in Silicon Valley, California, but I voted at 7:10am. 2nd in line. Looks like a really light crowd today.

They're expecting a turnout near record lows in the state. Heck, a recent statewide poll indicated that four out of every 10 voters in California didn't know that Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown was running for re-election as Governor. smh

Can’t you just put parking on EBT?

I paid to get out of our parking lot. Gave some dogs that were hanging around treats I had in the car.
