Good-bye. Maybe after the 2016 election, if you vote, you will have something worth responding to, but your refusal to vote has told me you have no skin in the game and you didn’t even try!

I haven’t got any numbers but it looks like republicans pretty much ran the table in the college administration and state level department of education seats here in Michigan. Tea party republican Rob Steele led that charge.

For instance, the University of Michigan board of Regents is now made up of 4 republicans and 4 democrats.

You know what's funny? I almost didn't post. You see, I'd been drinking a bit, and was browsing FR with my phone, and wasn't really sure...
Deflect and deny all you like, but your comment was jerking off Dave W's rant against Norm Lenhart (without the courtesy of a ping). Telling Conservative purists to shut up on FR is going to provoke a reaction. Get used to it.
The implication of that can't be lost on you, regardless of what you typed, and I have no interest in assisting you with the task of walking back your ill advised flame.

Incrementalism is not Conservatism, it's simply reducing the rate of decay. You want to argue that "we can't change everything back in one fell swoop"; yet that theory will never be tested by the milquetoast semi-liberals that the GOP keeps foisting on the voters. These "winners" we're all celebrating today, did everything they could to drive true Conservatives from the party.
Principal is the only thing that matters, and you're still a knob.

“Where the principle of difference is as substantial and as strongly pronounced as between the republicans and the monocrats of our country, I hold it as honorable to take a firm and decided part and as immoral to pursue a middle line, as between the parties of honest men and rogues, into which every country is divided.“ — Thomas Jefferson to William Branch Giles, 1795

And that is where real Change will happen. It's our only hope.

We knew that Freepers were mad as hell about Obama’s depredations on the country, but I sure wasn’t expecting for so many millions of others to be so angry.

***********

Me neither. Evidently the anger ran much deeper than we realized. This election was a complete repudiation of Obama’s presidency, his radical agenda, and the drones in his party that went along with him.

One of the best things about last night is that Republicans will now be able to thwart the proliferation of liberal judges.

North Carolina is such an beautiful state that has such a diversity of locations to offer: beaches, coasts, plains, foothills, and mountains. It has a great climate, a great location, and great opportunity.

I don’t blame people for moving there. However, they should require liberals to have a passport and a green card.

:>)

NC overcame the coastal/big city liberals yesterday. I wonder if they can be re-educated?

Joking aside, look to the 1936 communist goals. The American education system was a key plank in the plan to destroy us. If you gut out current system and replace it with actual teachers, America would return in a generation or two.

As long as the schools remain under communist control, no chance.

It's long been my opinion that our American socialists were students of Talcott Parson's social structuralism, even if he was anti-communist. His system made sense.

We still own, for the most part, the religious sphere of influence. And we own small business, at least. My point is that we have a base from which to launch. Another of the reasons for the relentless attacks on Christianity.

I’m bot familiar with it so I’m just going from the graphic. That said, I don’t understand what the left replaced religion with in that model because it’s only really been since the Swaggart era that they really began their infiltration outside the black churches.

If they in fact used that, then the above throws me. Otherwise I could see it.

The major structural areas of a society are the education function, the political function, the religious function, and the economic function. The education function is highly important as pointed out by Parsons, but it isn’t the only area of structural influence.

Gotcha there but what I don’t understand is in that 4 leg stool, is Religion. They hate/ discredit that. So what did they replace it with since they were not, until recently preaching from the pulpit?

They have infiltrated the mainline churches and are attempting to do displace the conservatism of traditional Catholicism.

Mainlines are an extremely tiny percentage of American religion.

No the weak minded vote purist in the mistaken idea that they are gonna win. So to answer you, keep on losing those elections to dems and then whining about how far we have fallen. Let’s see how that works for ya.

I never told anyone to shut up. I challenge your alcohol addled brain to find one post where I have. Incrementalism is not conservatism. But neither is not being realistic about what can be accomplished with certain parts of the electorate. I have yet to see one of you so called purists offer any solutions, not one. Again I ask, is it a smart strategy to run rock ribbed conservatives in parts of the country where they cannot win. Try, for once to see the electorate as it is now. A Ted Cruz will not win in places like California for example. And according to you, we should not vote for a candidate who will work with us only 70% of the time. It makes ZERO sense! But this continues to be lost on closed minded impractical people like yourself. So, go ahead and continue blaming people like me, but in the end all you are doing is denying reality. Politics is the art of the possible. Continue to ignore it while the country goes down the tubes...good plan! Telling people who have a functioning brain to shut up and go away because they just wanna defeat dems at all costs is going to provoke a reaction, get used to it!

Here’s a thought. First thing this morning, Mitch went out and did exactly what I said he would. Verbatim from all my supposed trolling. Now where I come from and most other places on the planet, that’s called an accurate prediction. And I was not alone making it.

Now, Your crew screamed long and loud how if you won, you were going to hold their feet to the fite and force them to govern conservatively.

So instead of you and me arguing about it, why don’t we BOTH get to doing that. You won AND I was right. We have the senate. Lets do something with it.

Right and I agree. But that’s only more recently. Back in the Swaggart/Schuller/Roberts/Bakker ere is when it really started taking hold, What I mean is that prior to that. there’s a big gap where we still hold ‘power’ in the churches and they could not rely on it. So for that model you mention to hold true, there has to be a ‘replacement leg’ so to speak during the period before they seized power thare and I’m saying I do not understand what that is.
