The best comment of last night (which I did not bookmark, so apologies to the brilliant anonymous FReeper who made it) was in response to a post “It will make me happy to see Reid moving out of his office”.
The comeback: “It would make ME happy to see him strapped onto a rocket and fired into the sun”.
Apologies to all that we couldn’t drag Brown over the finish line. He was imperfect, but would have been better than Shaheen, who is now back for SIX YEARS to exercise her Jedi mind control over Susan Collins.

Speechless. I mean, congrats, you guys sure did kick our arses their by defeating a guy who moved into NH, what, yesterday and still nearly (probably did) win. But hey, its New Hampshire where if you live in Massachusetts, have a license and a car and can drive (or walk) across the border to NH you can register that day and vote for your favorite liberal.
We’ll see pretty quickly how McConnell and the Rs intend to act...sadly, if past history is any indication, they will either rush to “co-operate” with the Ds (think No Child Left Behind and Medicare Part D) or they will become embroiled in petty squabbles and give the press all the fodder they need to destroy their reputation.
Hoping that they get what the voters were saying - they need to immediately begin passing clear coherent legislation to turn back the Obama agenda - force him to veto it so that it’s all on him.
But, I am not holding my breath....

I also am concerned for the predictability that McConnell will bend over and grab his ankles just as Harry suggests. My ray of hope is that Cruz upsets McConnell and wins the Leadership Chair.
Maybe, just maybe Shaheen will get very tangled in the I.R.S. scandal. If that news had broken last week there might have been a different result.
