Here's how PA went ...
YUP !!!
Pa here. We had the governor and both houses and NOTHING done in the past 4 years. NOTHING on property taxes, NOTHING on privatizing the state liquor system, NOTHING on income taxes. All they did was raise the gasoline taxes by $.28 / gallon. Corbett got what he accomplished - NOTHING.
He solved the Philadelphia School budget deficit by raising taxes on Cigs for sale in Philly.
He complained that his opponent was a successful businessman. Businessmen - successful - villain.
Bailed on marriage.
Looking at Upper St. Clair mainly ... we’re probably going to stay in the South Hills :-). I’d like to move up north, but all of our family and friends are down here :-).
Piss off the base = loss.
Republicans need to remember that for 2016.
If you don’t govern as a conservative, expect to lose.
Corbett didn’t what Walker did.
And Walker won handily in a deep Blue State as a conservative governor.
After a final two weeks long barrage of lies from a frantic corrupt political cartel, a you tube publication of an attempted domestic violence setup, sundry deceptions including attacks from a mysterious concerned citizens group and a neighboring legislator http://www.pennlive.com/midstate/index.ssf/2014/11/101st_district_house_seat_1.html#incart_river Russ Diamond emerged from the fire victorious over both the near death rattling Republican machine and, in this case, the comparatively civilized Democrat opponent.

If anyone doubts how deep into the slimy political theater subbasements depths the slithering, shape shifting vile gangsters are willing to explore using their very own black hearts as the plumb bob, one needs only to acquaint ones self with Russ Diamonds story, told in part above.
While Russ suffered from those attacks it appears the 102nd District was also stung by the attacks.
But instead of the typical sneer we have come to expect from the electorate trained to eat its own, the Noble rose up by the thousands and screamed ENOUGH! at the unseen political monsters that populate Lebanon County.
And on one beautiful Fourth of November, they brought their power to the polls. And they brought it and brought it again. In a steady stream they arrived at every polling place in the district showing their disdain for the machine they now realized was a monster. A monster they recognized as Enemy.
And they slew it.
It was a glorious victory I was privileged to watch unfold.
Though I watched it as most who witness such events, uncertain of its outcome, unaware of its complexities, I learned after the polls closed that the wrath of the righteous reached into every polling location in the district. They took no prisoners, they gave no quarter, they came, they saw, they conquered. God bless those noble voter/warriors... God bless Russ Diamond... God bless America!
On the ride home, we heard scattered reports of political dragons being taken out across the Country. The smoke from the burning machines was still thick and spreading. We’ll not likely have a clear picture of the National outcome until daybreak, at least, but by God, may Wednesday’s sunrise bless US with the same joy that filled Francis Scott Key as he spotted his treasure in the Dawn’s early Light.
Tonight, I’ll bask in the triumph of the People of the 102nd District I witnessed firsthand. It was sweet.
Excellent report ... thanx

Thanks!
Thanks knarf
Excitable, sometimes, irritable a lot so thanks, knarf for the observation. I may need it for a reference someday ;^)
Glad you appreciated the report. I spent the day at the Fredericksburg Community Center and while most of the visitors stopped for a minute or two in front of each of us representing the candidates, going in they were generally a taciturn group.
I did begin to notice in the early afternoon some folks exiting the building and smiling at me directly or giving me a thumbs up as they passed. I considered that an exit poll and started making room for some optimism.
It wasn’t until we arrived at the restaurant after the polls closed that we learned the victory was so complete but it didn’t really sink in until I was alone on the last leg of the journey back to the cave.
It was a great day for US all. I trust it will not turn out to be a mirage on the national level.
It’s ridiculous that the celebrity worship of the sports fanatics would have any effect on a political campaign. I’m a Penn State grad but an independent thinker who is glad Paterno and everyone at the institution suffered for the disgusting legacy of child abuse they left behind.
