based on prediction of probable dates of fertility
using a calendar and a little math
presupposing regular 28-day cycles
which is only applicable to about 30% of women
has a user- effectiveness rate of 85% ---that's almost as dismal as using a condom.

Natural Family Panning is different on every count. It is:

based on 21st century understanding of fertility
based not on prediction of fertility, but actual real-time observation of fertility indicators
not based on calendar but on individual physiological evidence
does not presuppose cycle regularity
accurate in a wide variety of conditions, including women with post-partum and lactational cycle issues;
has a user-effectiveness of 98%, as "good" as the Pill, with the following differences
- no hormonal disruption involved (the World Health Organization lists Pill as a class-4 Carcinogen)
- no side-effects such as loss of libido, weight gain and depression (common with the Pill: sexy, eh?)
- once you learn it, it costs nothing
- increases marital communication
- significantly reduces incidence of divorce
- doesn't make you dependent for life on your pharmaceutical suppliers
- acceptable to all religious and ethical systems
- cannot be used coercively by the State.

It’s no wonder that ya’ll have had no impact on the amount of abortions performed. Personally, I think if you want to prevent abortions, and you think abortion is murder, then you need to treat abortionist’s like the murderers they are. Ms Don O. My dad is a Pediatrician. My Mom graduated Summa Cum Laude from a prestigious Private college. They got married while dad was in med school. We moved to my town when I was 1 y.o. I have, or had, 3 brothers. I say had cause 1 died in ‘86 from a brain tumor.

Here’s the way I learned “the facts of life”. My mom ordered a series of books. Can’t remember the titles but they were about sex and relationships. When I, we (I’m the oldest) got home from school we were required to read them. And then we were tested, by my Mom, on each chapter. Mortifying to start, but after awhile it was kinda like being in Science class. And I really liked science. I’ve forgotten more about “how not to get a girl pregnant” than most will ever know.

BTW, I learned to read by reading my dad’s Medical Journals. I was fascinated by anatomy and I still, 45 years later know more than most folks have ever learned.

So, I know that doesn’t mean much to you. What it should mean is you and yours should not alienate your allies. For some reason I don’t think you’ll ever get it.
