I am requesting prayers from my fellow freepers. Last month I was diagnosed with Lung Cancer.

I had a PET Scan yesterday and will get the results tomorrow.

I ask that you say a little prayer for me that it is operable.

Dear Father in Heaven, dark times have befallen our friend, waxer1. In faith he has reached out to You, and called out to us in fellowship for support. We pray that you would hear the heart of your own dear child, and the hearts of family, friends, and acquaintances near to him. We ask that you would guide the minds and hands of his caregivers and extend your own healing touch. Grant courage, strength, peace of mind, and restored health. All things are possible in You. For this, in Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Dear St. Peregrine, I need your help. I feel so uncertain of my life right now. This serious illness makes me long for a sign of God’s love. Help me to imitate your enduring faith when you faced the challenge of cancer. Allow me to trust the Lord the way you did in this moment of distress. I want to be cured, but right now I ask God for the strength to bear the cross in my life. I seek the power to proclaim God’s presence in my life despite hardship, anguish, and fear I now experience. As someone that went through this three years ago, you have my total sympathies. That phone call of “Mr. CodeToad, we need you to come in for imaging. We saw a shadow on your lung.” is one kick in the gut you never forget. Turns out I have thick lungs (very healthy) and the shadow was just the inability of the X-ray to image that thickness properly.

People do survive lung cancer every day, so Prayers Up, and here’s to your best!
