It was for lying to a judge and other lying under oath. It didn't have anything to do with an affair.
The lies were about the sex....
You forgot to mention suborning perjury from his secretary in a Federal hearing by reciting things to her which were untrue while expecting, actually suggesting, that she would be called to testify.
Exactly, I don’t get why people think the affair was the focus, when perjury was the real deal. If he had been upfront and got it over with early, it wouldn’t have been a problem. Perjury is serious problem, especially when you were a lawyer like Clinton was. That’s not to say that I don’t despise him for his affair and the bad example he set by it, but still, at least get the legal technicalities right!
