Most people, Rs and even Ds think his lead is insurmountable.
Its Fairfax County - its Deep Blue and that’s why Virginia is no longer a Red State.
Without it, Gillespie would have won comfortably.
There had been some talk about “recalibrating” votes in VA’s Tidewater area, similar to what happened in Chicago. But I’m not familiar with the voting process in that part of the state. It is interesting that Gillespie is holding out, since George Allen conceded with only a 6K vote difference. SO I do think that Gillespie and the RPV may be contemplating the fraud issue.
I live in Fairfax and work as an elections officer. Our county reverted to all paper ballots. They invested umpteen million $ on new scanners that count all the ballots and print out reports at closing, where the # of ballots has to line up with voters who checked in and were given a ballot.
ALL the ballots are collected and stored in a security sealed box against a possible recount. So every single ballot cast in our county is accessible. I can’t speak to the eligibility of those casting the ballots; however with a new photo ID law, they had to have been registered.
Not just Fairfax County, but Arlington and Alexandria and Norfolk. Like every other state, it’s the populous areas that are blue.
But the question now isn’t WHERE Warner held the advantage, but why Gillespie isn’t conceding with as significant a difference as there appears to be.
Thanks for the insight on Alaska.
I'd like to believe those wonderful Cajun Corn-doggers will cast an early morning vote, or a pre-election vote if possible.
I use the term Corn-doggers with absolute affection. I like LSU fans.
Has she put her mansion in D.C. up for sale yet?

Don’t for her husband has a very lucrative Real Estate business in DC. If she
is no longer senator then lobbying becomes a very possible position for her, oil/gas.

No need, she’ll become a lobbyist for the oil industry...
Doesn't that mean she'll have to be nice to Republicans? Oh, wait, she won't have to talk to them.
I guess the Democrats pulled their ad for Mary Landfill that compared her to Viagara, saying that “Both will rise to the occasion”.
They probably plan to spend the money on fortified villas with illegal alien armed guards.
And now, from the sawed off limb desk:

An now if they’ll get onboard the Cassidy express they can put Mary into the
lobbying profession .
The Bolshecrat Party, who have no qualms to spend other people’s money, don’t want to waste their own on Little Mary Traitor.
Maybe they don’t think she will win, so don’t want to waste their $$.
Or suggestions from high-rolling Dem donors who don’t like the way she ran away from Zero.
Yup, sometimes evil fights evil.
