What's next for Charlie Crist? [Florida Dem Party In Shambles]
Herald Tribune ^ | 11/5/14 | Zac Anderson

Posted on 11/06/2014 7:36:42 PM PST by SoFloFreeper

Democrats bet big on Charlie Crist’s bid for governor, and his loss Tuesday is not only a potential career-ending outcome for one of Florida’s most prominent political figures of the last two decades, but also another gut check for a party at a low point in statewide influence...

Democrats lost six seats in the state House of Representatives, giving the GOP a super majority. The partisan makeup of the state Senate did not change, but Republicans are still just one lawmaker shy of their all-time high.

Additionally, every Cabinet position — governor, attorney general, chief financial officer and agriculture commissioner — remains in Republican hands. U.S. Senator Bill Nelson continues to be the only statewide elected Democrat.

....Florida Democrats invested nearly all of their resources in Crist this election cycle. There was little time, money or energy that went into down-ballot races that can be important to grooming future statewide contenders....

The vaunted Crist field operation — described as a scaled-down version of what President Barack Obama employed in Florida in 2008 and 2012 — focused on Democrat-heavy South Florida, but turnout did not increase enough in Broward and Palm Beach counties from the lackluster 2010 levels to give Crist the boost he needed.

Crist is an excessively perspiring fop. He appeared positively wilted during the final debate when his fan was prohibited.

Ewwwwwwwww..... would you want a sweaty governor? That was his last job interview.

He’s a human incubator of the gross and retchy.

What’s next for Chuckie? Probably HIV.

Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn? A rat to the right of former RINO Crist? Sounds like a jerk.

But as long as he’s mentioning 2018, who will run on the GOP side? Putnam? Bondi? Atwater?

Atwater for Governor. Putnam for Senator (against Nelson). Col. West needs to primary backstabbing weasel Rubio.

The next one after that will likely be Adam Putnam.

I guess, in the words of that Morgan of Morgan and Morgan attorney guy, they’ll wait for all those “Old Folks” in Florida die in a couple of years. Then conditions will be more favorable?? Of course he was talking about the loss of the Marijuana bill, but I’m sure he feels the same way about Charlie Crist, an employee of his, or legal partner, losing. They invested a lot of $$$$ pushing the bill, figuring that they could draw the marijuana crowd to vote for Crist. I think the voters they expected were too high/stoned at home to get out and vote.

Do you really want a man as governor of your state who is that creepy?

Too late he already was Governor. All the Republicans loved him as Governor.....a few years later he is hated. Funny how that works.

Putnam served as a Congressman from Lakeland prior to his office as Sec. of Agriculture (and 2nd Amendment defender) the dept. that manages CCW licenses and a lot else.

And who was the Sec. of Agriculture that signed CCW licenses before him?

Excuse us while we gloat....

Crist called on Broward county polls to remain open...but that didnt work out to well LOL. Voter fraud is a staple of Broward county and in the past could always be counted on to help a RAT over the line with “just found ballots”...but now we have voter ID!!!!!

This hasnt stopped the RATS from committing fraud but they cannot control elections anymore!

I, and I suspect all S Florida conservatives will be rubbing it in for a looooong time. RATS desserve all the shi’ite they get! Eff em!

West vs. Rubio would be awesome.

However, knowing the history of Florida conservatives, they will find yet another hispanic "rising star" who they INSTANTLY accept is "against illegal immigration" because he SAYS so during his announcement speech. If they haven't figure out to stop doing this after 12 years, they never will.

Rick Scott is Governor because of the "Tea Party" leaders there, too. He was extremely lucky that his opponent this year was the ultra-creepy Charlie Crist, who manages to be even more unlikeable than Scott.

And remember, Nelson is the lone remaining RAT statewide official because BOTH the self-appointed "conservative leaders" AND the GOP establishment ran crappy embarrassing candidates against him (Katherine Harris, followed by Connie Mack IV)

Sorry to be cynical here, but you can't fix stupid.

I don’t think he’s been on the Libertarian or the Green Party ticket yet.

...he’s still got two more elections ahead of him.

This orange faggot got over 2 million votes, the margin of victory for Scott was razor thin.

Amazing how stupid people truly are.

A win is still a win.

Considering he was the best Florida Democrats could find, he was more unlikeable than Scott.

Which is probably what saved the governor.
