I wouldn’t place a bet on that.Who’s going to stop Russia if they continue an invasion?NATO.
NATO did nothing when Russia attacked Geogia Preemptively.
I think Putin is going for the whole ball of wax and Russia desperately needs Ukraine.

I think it could go either way. Problem is Putin seems so unstable you can’t tell what he’ll do next.
I know if he pushes there will be no coordnated push back, unless he does something really stupid.
