More on Scott WAlker’s interview on “Meet the Depressed”. Scott handled that impertinent Chuck Todd quite well.
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, tis Wisconsin interest ping list.
Walker is right. Governors make better (more effective) presidents.
Of the three current Republican governors, I’d like to see a ticket with any of these three:
Mike Pence
Scott Walker
Nikki Haley
backup: Bobby Jindal
Walker is especially appealing because he has won THREE statewide elections in a DEMON RAT state. He is also a man of faith....that counts a lot in my book.
Pence is good because he has shown fine leadership in Indiana, and has been effective there.
Nikki is a great governor, as is Bobby—they also add “diversity” (I know, I know).
The drawback for Pence, Haley and Bobby is that they’re winners in already Republican states.
I’ve gotta be frank: one reason Mitt Romney got my vote was because he was able to win in a Demon Rat state.
But there are other Republican governors out there....
Christie does not get my vote, though. Too liberal.
Tell the Shamnesty pimp to shaddup.
Where to look for the 2016 ticket — — firmly in the direction of Ted Cruz. NO OTHER Republican has shown his courage and strategic thinking.
Scott Walker is close behind Cruz and would make an outstanding VP pick.
All I have to say is Sarah Palin.
We have a pretty good bench right now in the Governors. I agree we should look there instead of Washington.
Amen, Mr. Walker. Give us a Governor, not a Washington politician.
Walker is the ideal candidate....tested and thoroughly vetted. If liberals had anything on him, they would have used it.
He must lead the ticket and setup the next generation. A Tea Party Cruz, Lee or other minority would be great.
The left has nothing to offer. They can only defend the socialist state. They have no new ideas.
Walker can destroy any Democrat with a positive agenda.
1) Energy independence
2) Replace Obamacare with insurance CHOICE an no subsidies for big insurance
3) Restore our manufacturing might by re-shoring manufacturers
4) Spending control to balance the budget
That is all it would take. Simple, clear messaging.
Walker 2016
and he wasn’t talking about Charlie Crist, either, no matter how fresh and organic he may be
VP: New Mexico Governor Martinez may be interesting, or a Congressman. The reason a Congressman would do well as VP is because the VP can be a liason job between congress and the President, if done well. Having someone who knows congress and the process helps.
Supreme court: Cruz. He is a constitutional lawyer and young. He can be influential for 30 years, not just 8.
Arizona Senator: Palin.
McCain: Old folks home.
I of course agree Governors are not the only place to look, but they are among the best and most reliable sources of Political Executive experience. But frankly private companies, and the military are just as good.
What is not good is Federal legislative or exclusive experience. Few presidents who have come from the senate or house ever end up being very good presidents. Simply put they got too much invested in Washington politically already.
Sorry Governor Walker. I would say first qualification to be president would be a person who believes in, articulates well and fights for the principles of the Constitution.
He’s feisty, now. I think he’s had (and been through!) MORE than enough. Heard he put on quite the show on, ‘Face The nation’ this past Sunday.
Kick some Wisconsin Socialist @ss now, Scotty. You deserve it!
Love My Gov! :)
Karl Rove and Reince Priebus agree. That's why they'll give us Chris Christie, Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee in the primaries.
No.
Ted Cruz for president!
Walker will be on the 2016 ticket, either at the top or as the VP. The fact that he’s won three elections in four years in a Democratic state proves he’s battle tested and formidable. Cruz/Walker would be my choice. Aside from Christie, Romney, and Bush, the GOP has a deep bench of presidential candidates compared to the other side. With the Democrats it’s pretty much Hillary or bust! Can you imagine Elizabeth Warren, Joe Biden, or Martin O’Malley as the alternatives for the Democrats? Scary!
