Mitch McConnell is the master of undermining!

It's nice to see him undermining the democrats for a change!

Sometimes people will do the truly courageous thing by accident. Let us pray that it becomes a daily ritual.

From what I’ve read he really got his MOJO back in the runup to the Midterms. He played a huge role in taking the senate back.

That is positive. All conservatives are “nice guys,” which is fine, because you don’t have to be ugly for ugly’s sake. But letting the opponent step on your head is maybe a tiny bit excessive? And maybe even some of the “nicest” ones are emboldened by GOP wins and realizing that sleeping with the enemy was a counter-productive strategy.

I think that some of the wishy washier GOPers are going to perk up now. Send them positive letters supporting them when they do something good! Even if you’re not in their district and can’t vote for them, they are like anybody else, they like to be liked and love getting positive feedback.

The amazing thing is that he is doing it publicly to a Democrat. Finally learning how to play hardball after his 70th birthday.

The Republicans played the midterms beautifully. They didn't have to have a platform of bullet points or a stated agenda. A referendum on Eboma was all that was needed, and America responded in kind. Voters placed their trust in Republicans to repeal the Dems suffocating policies and restart America.

If played right, America could see a resurgence that makes the industrial revolution look like child's play.

No Senator prior to this election, other than Harry Reid had power. Not democrat, and certainly not Republican. McConnell was no exception, yet he has been dumped on unmercifully. Finally, he is able to demonstrate his importance to the republican party and to the nation.

The dims were talking about passing the Keystone to help Landrieu

Seems to me this would infuriate all the greenies who would then not bother to vote.

Maybe just change the name to the "Landrieu Pipeline" and send it to Obama to veto.

I have a feeling that McConnell’s reputation is about to change for the better.

Guess who will have undivided loyalty to Mitch?

Mitch needs anti-Cruz weapons.

They all will. We’ve been in the weeds so long that a lot of people gave up on us. It has been, “Let’s you and them fight” and if you didn’t it was because you were a coward.

Credit Ted Cruz. McConnell has to note that Cruz is doing very well in the public eye, and the media are paying attention to him, too, more objectively. I’m also wondering if the GOP is seeing internal polls showing Cruz is very well liked amongst people who lean right. All this adds up to McConnell, perhaps, feeling the need to “act more like Ted.” We’ll see...

Thank God some were willing to fight. Elections have consequences. When you don't hold the levers of power there's only so much you can do.

Now that we have more power we can do a lot more.

Is it sycophancy to want Reid out of power? Sycophancy to want Jim Inhofe as Chairman of the Energy Committee? And to want Keystone passed?

The only way to see that happen was to see the GOP win and that's what I have been in favor of. Now that we've won the Senate there's generally a lot more optimism around here. But I guess it's not surprising that you would call it sycophancy.

The gop would have won without Mitch and Jonbon. Nothing you mentioned would have gone bye bye. Now Cruz has a target on his back because sycophants just HAD to elect the two most anti conservative men in DC to Republican leadership. Again.

Deny it all you want. your unwarranted and in fact highly destructive support and defense for those conservative hating morons is well documented here.
