and asked for her manager and got her fired.
I think the best response would have been less civilized.
I would have asked to see the manager. I would then have made a scene nobody it the establishment would have forgetten for years.
I would make damn sure every single person in there knew why too.
Good for her, coming up with such a perfect and eloquent answer so quickly. I think most people would have been so shocked and upset, they wouldn’t have thought of it till later.
I would tell the manager that I was going to buy these items, but I will never buy anything ever from your store. If it was a chain store, I would email headquarters and tell them that you will NEVER go into their store ever again.
calling BS on her story..
Her message was perfect though.
When a woman is pregnant — the child isn’t on the way. The child is ALREADY THERE!!
...And would have filed suit to follow it up.
Proper reply:
I am sure your mother feels that way about you.
Response should have been, “Guess you mom wishes she had bought in to abortion on demand. BI**CH!”
Better to tell the manager why you were leaving everything there. The cashier won’t do anything.
Fake story. The mother just wants attention.
Hoax. The incident never happened as described.
I didn’t read the article though, I have overheard some very judgmental expressions while in the public regarding not having a baby for different reasons. People can be cruel while thinking they are doing something so good. We have a culture today in which everything has to be almost perfect before the item can be wanted, babies included.
Excellent response to the ignorant cashier.
Even if I met Stanley Ann Dunham (and she is mercifully dead, so she can no longer be embarrassed at her child’s pure evil), I would not have been this rude. I would assume that Stanley either (1) would know just how badly she messed up and not need the reminder, or (2) would be incapable of understanding that she gave birth to a less capable version of the Antichrist. I can’t imagine the level of rudeness required to do this to an ordinary mother whose child merely has limitations.
Remember when people had a “maybe you shouldn’t say that out loud” filter in their brain?
Sadly, it has gone away along with shame, common sense and respect for others.
