Former President Bill Clinton said Saturday that Democrats lacked a "national advertising campaign" in the recent midterm elections and that he's surprised many Senate races were not closer.
Clinton said in an interview with Politico that Republicans were helped by a larger bloc of voters who felt more strongly about the elections than members of his party. Democrats could have benefited from a national message that reinforced the party's positions on refinancing student loans and promoting equal pay for women, he said.

I guess he doesn’t believe a lot of Democrats voted against their party’s candidates; how does he explain the Red (socialist) states that will now have Republican governors? I don’t mind if he wants to live in denial; it won’t help in the long term.
The world has passed the Clinton’s by. The people passed up are always the last to know?
True, and he doesn’t delve into WHY the anti Democrat voters felt more strongly than the pro Democrat voters. As long as they refused to contemplate that, they will stay in denial.

It wasn’t just the strength of the beliefs between the two voter bases,it was the numbers. More people rejected the Democrat message than accepted it. There was no lack of advertising. We read it and heard it and said “No thanx. No more.”
These people hold everyone in contempt. Because they are all about money, power and control, they think offering some insulting and trivial *benefits* is all it takes to sway a vote. Refinancing student loans? There are costs to that. It isn’t a gift. And it is worthless if there are no jobs. Equal pay for women? When the WH itself underpays female employees compared to males? And again, equal pay when there are no jobs? And when what jobs there are go to immigrants?
They lost their base. Even gimmiedats have had enough of them.
More throwing of talking points against a wall to see if they will stick. Hillary is old and tired and more of the same. I don’t think they can triangulate to Warren. zer0 is not going to help Hillary. Everything now depends on the winners of the midterms taking the fight to the oppressors without their usual *accommodation*. There is nothing to accommodate. Everyone hates the idea of amnesty,punishing regulation in the name of The Climate and more taxes. They cannot win with 27% of the populace and they have to pay that percentage enormously to get their vote. That payment comes from the majority and we all know it.
Not too long ago, I thought Hillary running in 2016 was a done deal. Now, I’m not so sure. On the one hand, it will be hard for her to resist the people who will be fawning over her, telling Hillary that she’s the party’s only hope. On the other hand, a lot of Dems feel that Hillary’s best days are behind her, that she no longer has the “star power” she once had, and are moving towards Elizabeth Warren. Hillary couldn’t stand the thought of running for the nomination, only to be rejected by her party yet again.
It’s the economy stupid
I have heard all I want from Bill or Hitlary Clinton.

Stupid Clinton. Despite Pryor being an entrenched AR family dynasty, and this being your sorry ass' home state, your candidate couldn't even break 40%. Just more proof that the Clintons are less relevant than they think they are.
