The lactase supplements do usually work for me. I'm grateful for that. But it took me decades to realize the problem, even though I knew about LI all along, as other stomach ailments were confusing the situation. One product that really is nice is the lactose-free low-fat milk, although I can't usually find the chocolate variety anymore.
