Gun sales have increased at a staggering rate in Ferguson, Missouri, ahead of a grand jury's decision on whether or not to indict Officer Darren Wilson, the cop who shot dead unarmed teenager Michael Brown.
Steve King, the owner of Metro Shooting Supplies in nearby Bridgeton, says he has sold 250 firearms this week.
That is a 700% increase over the 30 to 40 guns the store typically sells in a week.
'These people are afraid,' he told The Washington Post.
'One hundred percent of them are buying because of Ferguson.'(continued)

The people buying guns this week are not big on planning. They’re the same ones who buy milk and bread after the first 1/4” of snow in a major snow storm. Yes, you want bread and milk, if you’re smart, but it’s nice to get them before the last minute. Particularly with guns, where they’re not as easy to use as twisting off a cap, a prudent person gets them early enough to put in some regular range time.

Before the last election, I thought and hoped that more-to-most people had Obama’s number. Now I’m pretty sure they do. May be proved wrong, but still think “prepare for the worst and hope for the best” is the way to go.

When ever there is ANYTHING written about this issue, why does the writer ALWAYS include the words “unarmed teenager”.....etc?
The kid was a thug and had a lengthy rap sheet. Why do we not hear simply that “Officer Wilson shot Michael Brown? Guess that wouldn’t be sensational enough.

In fairness, this is a Brit news outlet. Two peoples divided by a common language, and all that.
I could be wrong, but if there are riots, due to outside agitators, it will be confined to Ferguson. Leftists certainly desire nationwide riots, but it won’t happen.

I am so sick of that, too. I weigh 170 pounds and I am in my mid 60’s. Before I let some 300 pound gorilla beat me to a pulp, I will shoot, cut, bludgeon, stab and do whatever it takes with whatever I have, preferably a gun...I don’t care if the attacker is armed, unarmed, amputee, or what. No one has any business trying to violate my body...
