Obama's political legacy fading fast

WASHINGTON — The Obama legacy wasn't supposed to unfold this way.

Barack Obama was changing the political map, pushing the Democratic Party into the South and the Mountain West. He was building a new social network that would endure long after an Obama presidency. And he was building a new Democratic coalition for a new age, with greater turnout from young and minority voters.

Today, those ambitions are in tatters.

Obama's once-vaunted team wound up doing little more than electing him twice. Without Obama on the ticket, Republicans not only soared in 2010 congressional elections, but scored victories broad and deep again in 2014.

"The 2014 election was a major defeat of Democrats — a wave election that will have long-term consequences," says a memo from Democratic strategists James Carville and Stan Greenberg, and Page Gardner, president of the Voter Participation Center, which advocates for single women voters.

Hussein could always bomb his eighth country. Maybe that'll turn things around.

You can only bomb up to 7 countries as a Nobel Peace Prize recipient. Any more than that and you have to turn it back in.

Does anyone remember the company ZZZZ Best? The history of this company sounds like the Democrat Party as described in this article. Rapid growth and then collapse - all due to fraud.

Well, his political legacy might be fading fast, but no matter how many times they wash them, they can’t fade the stains in his underwear.

The Democratic National Committee acknowledged the problem as it announced a "top to bottom" review of its operations. The party said in a statement that it "has failed to translate success in presidential years to midterms and off years."

Keep pandering to ethnic minorities and leftist special-interest groups, you're going to keep losing elections.

Most countries bombed by a Nobel Prize recipient. Forget Babe Ruth, there's a record that will stand forever.

Today, those ambitions are in tatters.

The day the music died.

And they were singin', bye, bye, Miss Obamican Pie.

Its the age, stupid.

Leading Democrats look like they come from a retirement home.

This is not a youthful party.

Perhaps the Sultan’s legacy is not the legacy the writer imagines that the Sultan desires.

America was conquered by Islamic State - judging from the reaction of Democrats.

No wonder they are in the wilderness.

Keep pandering to Central Americans by making them voters in 2015 and just maybe you can stay in office for life. The Constitution is already de facto defunct. The Sultan is intent on making it de jure before the scheduled 2016 elections. Republicans are, of course, co-operating.

He was building a socialist-communist coalition, now he is going to do it all by his lonesome. Outcome is the same, the fundamental transformation of America into an unrecognizable New World Order of $hit and the Establishment Republicans are only too glad to help...

The GOP might need to postpone their Victory Dance.

In 2012, Obama won a second term because Blacks, Hispanics, immigrants, and single women turned out in record numbers.

Two years later, I think it is very unlikely that those core Democrat voting blocs have suddenly become disillusioned with their Party.

In 2014, if those groups had shown up in record mid-term numbers, the GOP “wave” would have been much less impressive.

Obama's political legacy fading fast

Very unlikely.
"Legacy" is a neutral word.

Sister Teresa has one.
So does Idi Amin.
So will the POS President.
Thankfully.

Is that the same James Carville that wrote a book in response to Obama’s election entitled “40 More Years: How the Democrats Will Rule the Next Generation”?
